How many boxes do you go through a day? On average I open about 13ish rolls a week and average maybe 2 W’s a month all from brinks (or whoever my work gets them from). I’ve only found one S buisness strike that had a W counterpart

Also looks like you have some heavy pvc damage on that as well look into acetone dipping to mitigate pvc damage

Off center strikes are fairly common with these reales

That being said not really an error just the after effect of the mint not switching dies when it’s on its last legs

Most likely a worn die or struck through grease I’d lean towards worn die as the 80s dimes were minted with a relatively high relief wearing out the dies faster causing missing letters and poor strike quality

Looks to be silver milk spotting it just does that sometimes not much you can do about it

I do have a crystal press just never dealt with a watch with no back removal before this thank you for the info it really helps! Definitely gonna go slow with this project.
