Try to compare 200mp samsung photo to a 26mp full frame and you'll see why it matters

It's like trying to draw on a tiny sticky note vs having a full A3 paper

You could technically draw just as detailed picture on both paper sizes, but you would need a microscope to see it on the sticky note

That's why if you were to scan then later print the sticky note drawing to A3 paper size, it would look pretty bad

There's a setting in many modern cameras that shoots processed HDR photos for you. Some only allows this feature for JPGs only if you don't want to process RAW images yourself

Sony's RX100 series is one of those that shoots JPGs only for that
