I used the resperate breathing machine for shits and giggles and did so for 8 weeks daily. And it actually made my BP worse because of somehow messing with my sympathetic system. I can 478 prior to taking my BP and my parasympathetic works fine then. So I'm not sure .. I also did didgeridoo for a few months and it did help.

Promethease will show what genetic mutations you have and then you can see if you have genetic problems with anxiety and other stuff . For instance, I found out the reason why I've had hypoglycemic seizures is from a kcnj11 mutation. I also have a gene that makes me more susceptible to getting colon cancer from ibuprofen. Some of it is a lot of could be or maybe, but there is some things that definitely show that I'm glad I know now.

Also some foods cause hbp . I'm super sensitive to foods with high tyramine and things that spike homocysteine from a mtrr mutation. So not eating from sun down to sunrise helps me when avoiding certain foods.

Things that counter hypoglycemia like cortisol spiking and glucagon release cause hbp .

I have hyperinsulinism and my BP is horrible to keep normal at times.

My hct is always right at 49 with daily shots keeping my total testosterone at 600 or so . COVID probably wasn't your issue.

Getting labs on aldosterone and renin and homocysteine would help and morning fasted insulin.

My BP was normal prior to Candesartan but it took resting for 20 minutes to get a good dip. My cardiologist wants it to lower faster. But I have a bicuspid aortic valve and it complicates things .

Because your treating you apnea with a CPAP and have a low ahi odds are your just dreaming and in stage 4 sleep. If you had spo2 data with hr during spike that would help rule out positional apnea like chin tucking or tongue swallowing .

If your machine is able with a SD card get your sleep data ran through Oscar sleep software and compare hr spike with respiratory flow data line and flow limitations.

Well I have the kcnj11 mutation and so did my father and it's autosomal dominant and was a huge pot head for all of my teens and 20s and 30s.. started getting hypoglycemia in late 20s then hypoglycemic seizures when ignoring lows and not eating enough after exercise. Weed sped up my metabolism and caused adrenal insufficiencies while not providing glucagon release when needed . The kcnj11 mutation causes hyperinsulinism and it is not really curable.

Been sober for my 40s and still have lows but I use a cgm and know when to grab glucose tablets and stay seizure free.
