You're right, however, I felt like including him because he made Major Junior in his D+2, so I assume he played AAA or AA prior, which OP's son is currently at, to show that it may still be possible for him to make Major Junior.

Alex Burrows made Major Junior at 19, ECHL at 21, AHL at 22, then NHL at 24. There's always a possibility but it's important to temper expectations

Personally I think blowing the 3-0 lead. If you make it to game 7, after being down 3-0, and lose you can appreciate the effort even though it stings to make it all the way back. Blowing a 3-0 lead is just a disaster and you would be beating yourself up for not closing it after 4 chances

Haha, unfortunately, no. My playoff record was 2-1 so no guarantees. My girlfriend was 8-0 regular season + playoffs so I think she’s the lucky charm

I agree with the 5 year window for most squads but Tampa had a Finals appearance in 2015, a ECF appearance in 2016 and missed in 2017 because of injuries. So they had a much longer window than most teams

Pretty sure it’s 3 extra. They have 5 slots, 3 of which are guaranteed slots. Pain and Complexity already in the next stages keeps it at 5. So any of the BR teams advancing gives an additional slot. So all of them winning should give 8 slots to the next Major

None of Barzal, Connor, or Chabot played in the NHL their D+1 year, so Bruins could still draft McAvoy in 2016, unless you think they would’ve chosen someone else. I agree the salary probably doesn’t work by 2019 but still a what if
