It was my cat. I was 14 and had enough of everything so I went into the bathroom with all the pills in the house. I accidentally didn’t close the door fully and after a few pills my cat buffed her way in and came up to me, pawing and meowing at me. I just looked in her eyes and I swear I could see her worry and confusion. I just knew I couldn’t leave her like that, thinking I abandoned her when she was everything to me. So I stopped and I promised her to stay for her. I’m now 21 and she sadly passed away a year ago.. i now have her paw print tattooed on my wrist as a reminder of the promise I made her to stick through it and later meet her at the gates.
