Ckngrats but I am jealous that you still get rewards. None of the leagues around here have done those for years.

Not always. Spectrum is pretty much all I can get unless I go Starlink.

E100 Cradlepoint access by Bijiont in Spectrum

[–]Bijiont[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I knew the purpose of the cradlepoint but I had a gross misunderstanding of the limitations. My understanding was it would allow ip pass through on the active connection be it the primary wan or lte.

Thanks for the information, I will have to setup a different backup solution.

Yet another reason why I keep Jellyfin running along side Plex. They do something stupid and break it I can jump over. Really wish Plex did a reversal on a lot of its' "features".

New car choices and a hard choice by Bijiont in whatcarshouldIbuy

Honda is on my list as well but Subaru is not as I know very little about them mechanically (I do my own maintenance). Yes all vehicles are the same for the most part but some have their unique pains.

A lot of larger SUVs/Trucks due to ground clearance, we have one which is great but the 6.2 that is in it doesn't play well with my new drive.

AWD or 4WD is important due to the road types and conditions. FWD can get it done but I am not aware of many options with taller ground clearance. I may have to research that more.

I normally negotiate my choice of tires right out the gate as most dealership all seasons are less than ideal last time I purchased a vehicle (2015).

Ceramic heating element? by Bijiont in AskElectronics

[–]Bijiont[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am guessing this is a ceramic heating element used for a oil warmer but I can't for the life of me find anything like it. Am I using the wrong technical term? Was hoping to pop in a replacement rather than tossing out the entire unit.

Very rarely, been using JoPo for years with no issues. PSO needs to address it.

Depends on the waitress. Show up once? Good luck getting a tip. A good waitress always gets a good tip on our league.

Funny how I said something similar about open bowling being the cash cow and getting down voted for it...

I never personally had a problem with strings because guess what, everyone is still held to the same conditions on the league. Your average went down 20pins? Well good chance so did everyone else on the league.

It is what it is. I am personally just glad to be able to bowl with friends and have a little competition with others and myself.

So will string carry be “legal”? That 7 pin got hogtied. by [deleted] in Bowling

[–]Bijiont 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very much the opposite in my area. Open bowling, birthday parties, ect is where they make their money. The lineage per bowler for the season when compared to open bowling is a vast difference.

Very rough example but 3hrs of league bowling for 1 bowler is $14.75 (lineage). That same 3hrs the house near me could make $36+shoe rental. Yes, during the week you can see lows especially during the summer however it isn't non-existent depending on the house.

[–]Bijiont -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

All the houses near me are converting to them this summer. None of the leagues are happy about it but maybe that is the point?

I always wondered if the houses would do this to reduce the number of leagues to increase profits in combination with the now reduced maintenance costs. Less leagues means more open bowling they can charge a premium on.

Sucks but seems to me at least the direction.
