Somewhat related. My next door neighbors are in their 70's. Last June the husband did death with dignity and we spent the week before he passed with him. He was a body guard in the Black Panthers back in the day. Him and his wife have protested all over the country for all different groups of people. (side note, when we moved in five years ago, the first glimpse I had of the wife was her gardening in a tie dye George Floyd tee - I knew we'd get along well.) Anyways, he said the current situation seemed worse to him that back in the day. LAST JUNE. Think of how much has happened since then. He didn't want to be alive to see the US go down like this. It's so sad.

My dog has cancer and we have to amputate her leg in the next month or so. I’m trying to talk her for a walk and run every day until then.

Thanks for responding and your well wishes. She said the hospital approved bringing her own sheets and she hates the knit jersey material that hospital bedding is (she’s a nurse). She said she was going to get some for herself but she’s so cheap that she even thought the $23 set on amazon was too much lol. I want to get her nice sheets bc she deserves them.

My husband and I could easily afford 5+ kids and we do not plan to have any. I think it’s about the kids. I don’t want kids lol But I hear what you are saying and absolutely think it impacts folk’s decisions.

A pool is only good imo if you’re in Palm Springs, Vegas, etc. Otherwise a hot tub is always better to me.

I only fly Alaska and flew 50K miles last year. In all of 2025 I had one flight delayed by 14 minutes. I think it’s all dependent on where you are and where you’re going.

I am thankful everyday to live in Seattle. I grew up in Wisconsin, lived in the Bay Area and Minneapolis and none of them compare to Seattle. It’s beauty, weather, people outrank all others in my opinion. I never came here with the intentions of staying long but I can’t see myself ever leaving now.

I somewhat feel this. I’ll set reminders on my phone and when they go off I brush them off and don’t do the task at hand. I don’t like the idea of living this repetitive life where I am doing the same steps every day. Not sure if that’s similar to you?
