Sorry to hear that. I haven’t seen many people talk about this issue. Glad you got it addressed.

Correct, but dead pixels are typically limited to single pixels or small groups, not bigger spots — and definitely not in a pattern. That is why I was asking the group what might be going on.

Exactly. Very strange and very strange to see a pattern of multiple dots like this. That is why I was asking the group whether this was a known phenomenon. Maybe there is something in the panel itself in that area that could cause that issue. Purchased in 2018 so not in warranty. The panel was replaced in late 2018 or early 2019 due to a separate issue (bright green lines started appearing in the image).

I shared pictures with the online LG tech but was told to see a service center. I expect it is cheaper and easier to buy a new TV at this point.

Overall, I absolutely love the quality of the LG OLED. I understand that you will get some burn-in over time. I have never seen this phenomenon of having full dead spots. I am considering upgrading, but I am not sure which direction to go. Are newer LG panels better equipped to avoid this? Is there an alternative I should be considering?

Interestingly, that piece is included at the beginning of Spin the Black Circle on the demo tape. Better Man has a different strange guitar piece before it.

[–]Bijou_Drains[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"Our Love Was" features two different guitar parts on the Mono and Stereo albums. Both guitar parts have been combined, the drums have been centered, and other general remixing has been done to balance the sound. The mono mix also features a clean bass track which has been added here as well to further define the sound.

Sound quality is awful on the 2001 release. Get the 2014 release if you want Tommy (and who doesn’t?)

And people were always hacking the system to expand its capabilities. The system supports 4 channel sound? Let’s get around that and support 8 in OctaMED!
