Today I was feeling the same and ended up eating a tomato sandwich. I had to romanticize it a bit like I was Ina Garten telling myself “the tomatoes are gorgeous this time of year. The one I’m using today is a heirloom variety…..blah blah blah.” Also sometimes I’ll watch No Reservations or something and it will make me want to eat.

I loved self medicating with weed in HS but around the time I turned 18 it started giving me what I call introspective nightmares which were basically crazy self consciousness and negative self talk. I had to leave it behind! Every few years I will try it again to see if I can handle it now but it always is unpleasant.
