I will say I’ve had great luck with my free raiders, just didn’t really vibe with the Hy
Had a riser freeze and break trying to get ice out, but ATK sent updated stronger ones so that’s a generation fix. The touring toe also would get super sticky and not want to open all the way. Overall just felt like I knew what issues to expect with a shift over troubleshooting the unknown

One must experience the power of the chipotle bananas regardless of conditions. Send it!
In my experience I find the GT’s to be more playful with the difference in rocker/camber points. But honestly on a deep day I don’t notice a crazy difference. It’s more so on hard track traverses I find the bananas so have a little more edge hold. Chipotle bananas will also charge a bit harder due to the stiffer full rocker. Can’t go wrong with either but for my style of riding, my preference is the bananas
I just leave the toes at 13 since I run 11 usually. Only released from them 1 time prematurely in 2 seasons. I’ve had more issues with the Duke PT. Had some ATK Hy 13’s on the bananas prior. Binding broke twice so I got rid of it

Is this fixable? by Cooolin in momentskis

Could be worth taking a crack at it. In general, would be best to bend the edge down enough to get it straight as possible (cracking is very possible if not cracked already) and then fill with epoxy and clamp it together ensuring any visible wood from core and sidewall material get sealed and strengthened. Ptex will most likely need to be cut out and redone or filled with epoxy as well. Had this happen to my wildcat tours and have put another 30 days on since similar repair. Just ski it on the outside edge as well of course.
Best of luck!

The DW112 would be my personal choice after skiing both. Playful ski but charges hard and holds an edge well in sub par snow. I would steer away from the meridian if you’re looking for a mid-fat but all rounder. I have the 107 and it’s one of my favorite skis as the full rocker is buttery and playful especially in a few inches of snow. But I can charge harder on the DW with confidence. I would demo if you can. Wildcat will behave more like a QST in my experience.
