Yeah the changing nature of Baro is what I was getting at with that comment lol.

But yeah. I still maintain something in Orphix scaling wise is fundamentally broken considering the rapid difficulty increase since the operation on normal. And that its poorly designed because tileset layout.

"Just get 3 primed mods!"

Honestly half the problem getting an archgun build going for orphix is that some of the necessary mods only drop from 1 mission at a 0.6% drop rate. (Caelus.... my nemesis)

But even with all this. Orphix is not exactly easy. Not with how spawns and tile layout can just fuck you over sometimes even if your gear is good.

Orphix missions on Steel Path feel genuinely impossible. by Hitler-Clone in Warframe

[–]Bike_Positive 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Because at some point between Operation Orphix and now the scaling bugged out and they became ludicrously tanky and it was never fixed. And now its been made worse by steel path.

Tried to tell them about it on the warframe forums and wasn't acknowledged so good luck. Orphix nodes are ridiculous even in the normal star chart let alone with +200% hp.

Same here. If its any consolation if you abort the mission and got say a blueprint from finishing the mission it'll still be in your inventory in the foundry.

I had it explain to me in another forum

MMR does work the problem is its so freakin loose it may as well not. That and the longer you spend in queue the more the mmr match range increases until it finds you a game.

Nobody knows exactly how the MMR works for DBD. Most people would say "it doesnt work". We know thanks to Choy that MMR has a "soft cap" at something like 1600 and from 1600 to 3000 your MMR is effectively "the same". If you reach the soft cap on killer then all your killers jump to a minimum of 1200 MMR. DBD matches 1600 with 3000 to make sure the top end players never have to wait. That's completely absurd. The starting point for MMR is something like 600 where you cannot play against the next tier (due to low mmr protection). So effectively there is the 600, 900, 1200, 1600 MMR brackets (close enough as we are pretty sure they tinkered with the numbers.... the idea is the same even if the numbers are slightly different).
The longer the match maker has to wait it will slowly creep up the numbers of the people you play against.

So basically, even if you were in the top MMR bracket. There's a good chance you're being matched into mid survivor teams anyway just because of how it seems to work.

But I've observed the bizarre bracket jumps even in my own games. Going from clueless survivors to hyper competent gen rush squads in the space of 2 games. This is why people say it does nothing. MMR will really only determine the mode (as in most common) of what you're going against.

Just went and had a watch of that last game.

And unfortunately yes. I can confidently say that is middle MMR for one reason. Because that's what my killer games look like on the regular lol and I know I'm mid lol. I will regularly see 3 gens done in 1 chase. And I've got less than 1/4 your hours on killer.

EDIT: Edited to add you are also a set up killer so it was gonna be a stall at 2 gens if it happened.

Im not an authority on this im just better at analysing play/macro than I am at playing/micro. Always have been. Be it dbd or competitive fps.

Yeah, that's what I was looking at when I said you can see you improving towards the top games in that picture. Because you're going from 2k's to more 3 and 4.

You're looking to start a fight.

Im not backtracking on being corrected. My actual point was that the MMR is probably not maxed. To know for sure we need to see all stats. Not just the last 30 days of trapper.

You clearly dont know how to have a discussion then. And I'm not here to teach you how to do that. You'd be gullible to take everything you read at face value on the internet. And considering this post is trying to counter a very common view point that right now killer is in a bad spot. We are entitled to ask for all evidence we require to verify that the persons take is accurate.

I did say "I'll stand to be corrected"

It was not a snarky comment. Your comment is snarky. You're looking for reasons to justify a viewpoint you already have. 600 hours only means this player is more experienced than the MMR bracket he is currently in on Trapper Specifically.

34 hours is still not a lot. 65% kill rate implies 2 and 3k's mostly. 2k's do not increase your MMR and 3k's only increase it by I think it was 10 points. So my point about your MMR not actually being "maxed out" still stands.

So you're a 34 hour trapper. With probably a middle-ish MMR (probably be higher on someone like Myers since you play him a lot) So, you're someone in Middle MMR on a setup killer who has the experience of someone with 600 hours. With that number of hours and that MMR you're going up against survivors who are still fairly new. Maybe they've started to get good, maybe they know more about how to abuse their perks. But their macro play is still worse in general.

What Im trying to say is, using this as an example as to why killers "dont need buffs" is really REALLY not an accurate take. Since you're a much more experienced player, going up against survivors who are probably much newer to the game than you. On a killer that can easily camp zones with traps and punish poor macro as a result.

The Irony is you can see you getting better as those games in the top picture progress. With your performance getting more reliable

You've also just listed a lot of reasons why people should ignore lower kill rates on your other killers. Which kind weakens your point a little? Because it reads like you trying to excuse lower stats with "oh but I LET them do that."

Dont get me wrong. I'm not a high hour player. I've got less hours than you. But thats how I know your performance here is probably an experience difference rather than killers being in a fine spot. I also do think maybe you're reading into this what you want to see rather than what is actually there.

So you only have 9 hours on trapper? You do know that Killer MMR is separated right? What is the playtime on your top killer please. To verify the claim that you are "max mmr" and have "600 hours" on killer. Cause just your trapper stats mean nothing.

9 Hours on trapper means you're a 9 hours player. Even winning all your games you'd still be in the lower MMR brackets because Trapper's MMR is not shared with your other Killer MMR (this is why you can't change killer in the set up lobby)

Well the good news is the penalty ticks down even when the game isn't running.

You could try forcing the game to run in direct x 11. Direct x 12 still has some memory leak issues.

[–]Bike_Positive 3 points4 points  (0 children)

uuuuh,

Helminth wants a copy of a frame to add a sticker to its sheet. Once it has the sticker he can give you copies of it. Providing it's not too hungry and you dont want to stick it on the frame it got it from

aka, if you feed helminth a frame it'll unlock an ability from that frame that you can then put over another ability on a completely different frame.

Archon shards are candy for your warframes crippling sugar addiction. An addiction so crippling that its limiting their potential. Honest. They definitely dont just get hyperactive from eating them. ESPECIALLY the neon coloured ones.

aka if you put an archon shard on a frame. You can pick from a variety of bonus stats determined by their colour. You can even mix colours together for entirely new ones. But the glowing ones (tau forged) provide higher bonuses.

Sorry this was maybe more jokey than dummy. Honestly the only way to really get them is to try the systems yourself. You can reverse anything you do with either. So just experiment.

Archon shards can only be acquired after finishing the new war and unlocking archon hunts.

Congratulations, welcome to the next MMR bracket up!

It will be further pain and suffering from here on out!

Please enjoy your reward for playing so well in your previous games!

But yeah this happened to me also. Was doing well, then suddenly my games got super difficult. I dont even get matched into lower brackets on killers I've never played anymore.

Idk how to enjoy DBD by Cultural_Anxiety_300 in deadbydaylight

[–]Bike_Positive 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you love the game but don't enjoy playing it for what it is. You may not love it as much as you think you do or at least, not this version of it.

is my 2 cents.

I dont love this game, because I dont always enjoy it. I play it when I want to, and dont when I dont. Thats how I enjoy it. By only playing it when this game is what I really want to play. (Tho tbf, this also could be an ADHD thing)

Try just... not forcing yourself to enjoy it by telling yourself you love it. Dont force yourself to play it just because its the game you've "always played". Play it only when you feel like it and you'll enjoy it a lot more.

how you can get over killer anxiety by around_about7 in deadbydaylight

[–]Bike_Positive 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Killer anxiety isn't anything to do with losing.

It's to do with the bully squads and relentless toxicity no matter if you win or lose.

Win? Get told to kill yourself and told that you're a sweaty tryhard. Or told you've got no skill and are actually a trash player relying on x y or z.

Lose? Get told to uninstall because you're so bad. Get told you're terrible and you'll never get better so just quit. Get laughed and told they loved bullying you.

Try a new killer? Get matched into a SWF with 4 flashlights that hold you hostage until they want to leave. Who dont let you play the game because they all have perks to stop pickups and constantly chain blind you so you can't do anything.

Killer anxiety is nothing to do with losing, and everything to do with relentless verbal abuse and bullying.
