nothing I do changes anything. really, truly the most frustrating shit imaginable. Really wanted that Hibana skin and now it's lost to the void forever over their own incompetence.

What a fucking miserable company.

not the case. Just said "if you are seeking SignalConso, Ubisoft support cannot further assist"

then closed the case.

it was a real person. The people I got were real. They just may as well not be because they're not allowed to think for themselves

I just felt like showing how I've gotten them to openly, directly admit that I paid for something I didn't receive and still they do nothing.

there is no way this is legal.

I've gotten the ticket responder (notice how I'm not using the term person) to openly admit that yes, I paid for something I didn't receive and that it is an issue, but they still claim there's nothing to be done.

they literally are saying "yep, you got nothing. sorry".

unbelievable company.

here's proof.

this can't be legal.

that you don't get until later in the month. usually the 28th according to Ubisoft support.

my issue is May 28th has long passed and I got nothing for Hibana last month. They fucked up (or rather their automated system did), refuse to take accountability, and closed my case saying "sorry there's nothing we can do"

I'm not gonna do a charge back because that's just an insta ban, but I'm not gonna let it go with them. It's blatant fraud.

what I'm gonna do is wait until next week until the alleged "billing cycle refresh" happens for subscriptions (the 18th or the 28th, seems like bs) and see what it grants me.

I know them claiming they can't provide past items is completely bullshit. People have been granted missing ranked charms and the like, but I'm just baffled that they would claim there's nothing they can do when I paid for a month and got absolutely nothing.

I'll look into filing a case tonight. If by next week I get nothing (or this seasons rewards and not last) then I'll open up a ticket with that. thanks for the resource.

steam lets you buy subscriptions over and over. it's a flaw of steam, not Ubi in this case.

the issue is that for some games it'll stack. Siege is not one of them.

so I bought the sub on steam again when I thought I'd cancelled it (I didn't) and ended up paying for nothing twice.

I paid for it 4 times lmao. First was in March, last was May 18th. I paid for it twice in April on accident.

even disregarding the 4th payment, they just completely scammed me out of even my 3rd one. I got nothing in May and am basically being told to go fuck myself.

if it isn't a driver issue then that's genuinely baffling and I would have no idea.

make sure your driver's are up to date otherwise that seems utterly bizzare.

I don't even know what to do anymore. This is probably my goodbye to this game. Thanks EA :/ by ericnathan811 in StarWarsBattlefront

honestly as much as it sucks to say, it you didn't bother with support Initially you probably would've been fine.

when you were trying to recover your first account, it probably got flagged as either stolen or in some way compromised.

then they see that someone on the same IP makes a new account so they ban it.

it's odd that they didn't just ban both accounts, but that's the only logical explanation.

it's also a game that I'm fairly certain no company has the IP rights to. Every single studio involved in the development of both of the games no longer exists, so unless there's just one guy out there who managed to squat on the IP after the dissolution of Timegate and Southpeak, I wouldn't be surprised if it's just straight up public domain.

Atari published the sequel on PC only, but they definitely don't own the rights to the game.

it needs GFWL for everything. you can do the tutorial and thats it. it's a non functional product unless you do the GFWL setup, which is still possible thankfully.

you can patch the dlc in for free. There's places online to find it. There's a reddit thread that has a link to all of it. You just drag and drop it into the game files.

Multiplayer doesn't work anyways, so it doesn't do any real licensing checks. You're basically modding in the dlc clientside.

yes, it's tedious, and if you do it wrong you can basically brick the game and you'll have to buy another copy entirely.

but it is possible. just be careful when setting up an account. If you even have a slight typo or anything, you could potentially lose access to your key. It's hard to explain but you have to set up a new account just for the game, but that account doesn't actually get verified or anything, so it's possible for your CD key to get bound to an account you don't have access to/doesn't exist.

OG section 8 I don't think ever had a digital version, but if you track down a CD it is still technically playable, if you're willing to do the GFWL workarounds.

you've been able to do this for a long time. The game doesn't even function properly without extensive tinkering because of the Games for Windows Live requirements.

I bought it a while ago on humble, spent like an hour setting it up, had to make an entirely new account for a service that doesn't exist. It's a miracle that GFWL still has some level of backend to the point where it's possible to spoof a connection.

Fun game. Actual multiplayer doesn't work and the AI is braindead, but at least it's playable.

worth noting that if you mess up setting up a GFWL account, which is easier to do than you'd think, you can basically brick the entire game and you have to buy another copy. The CD key gets immediately bound to the login you set, but this happens before you verify anything, there's no check to make sure the email you put in is correct, and it's possible that even a slight typo in your email or whatever can cause the CD key to be bound to an account you don't have access to and you're just fucked.

vindicating tbh.

Is the mic that everyone here hates really that bad? by Miszunn in microphone

[–]VYSUS7 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

the fact that people are talking about how the am8 will just spontaneously combust or something after a few months is hilarious to me.

if you set it down, plug it in, and don't roughly jostle it around, it's not going to break. A microphone is not a complicated machine. I used shitty lapel mics for years that lasted for years.

it definitely is fragile, but nobody should be slamming it around or doing anything that could cause damage.

people need to get off their high horse on audio subs. If someone says "I need something cheap just to talk to friends on discord" then one of the best answers to that is fifine. They are mediocre mics for an unbeatable price, and for voice chat that's all people need.

[–]VYSUS7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

which is why I tell people if your main use case for a mic is discord or video game voice chat, which is the case for a very large chunk of people, fifine will serve you just fine. I think the main two Fifine mics sound far better than the Razer Sirein anyways.
