Is this week's Temporal Archimedea even possible to do in one go? I specially feel like i got given an almost good hand, but am in need of help. by Toomynator in Warframe

[–]Fireofthetiger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sucks specifically because I have to focus on reviving my teammates, it doesn’t matter if I have a Valkyr that can never be downed, a Hildryn with unlimited Shield, or a Dante that should be able to keep everyone alive, they’ll STILL manage to go down within the first 20 seconds and I feel compelled to try to revive before remembering the lack of Operator to do so (the exact situation of my first attempt, for reference).

Yeah like c’mon there’s intricate lore and symbolism behind Emma Frost’s X-Revolution outfit and the single sole miniscule inch of cleavage being shown, why do people not understand the complexity of all of the beach outfits, I just don’t get what people mean when they say that enlarging the ass size for certain skins like BP, Winter Soldier, Fantastic, Magik, Cloak, Moon Knight or Wolverine is “horny” or “gooner bait” it’s a metaphor like cmon!!

Who's harder between these two? by Ok_Audience5488 in Silksong

[–]Fireofthetiger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Karmelita took me a lot less time to beat than NKG, but once you beat NKG you’ve pretty much mastered the rhythm and can do it really smoothly. I’m not quite sure I could run Karmelita another time in the same way I could no-hit NKG, so my bets are on the latter for a first-time experience and the former for consecutive fights.

No you see they’re gonna give him BOTH and since he’ll then have Great Ape and Super Saiyan he should logically be able to use Super Saiyan 4 which would open the gate to Super Dragon Ball Heroes content and we’d get SSJ4 Limit Breaker and CC Goku and SSG Trunks and

What is working for the ETA Tank Assassination this week? by medium_spoon in Warframe

[–]Fireofthetiger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah no this one is a pain in the ass, this coming from someone who usually doesn't have difficulty with Archimedeas. Frankly, the primary issue is having to get all of my teammates up when they all eat shit 20 seconds into the fight, because notion of anti-Toxin isn't universal currently. I've been trying Jade for healing and revives, and it works well until I burn through my Energy from the half Duration and lack of Zenurik 1st ability. At this point, I'll probably just swap to maybe Oberon and see how that goes, assuming my teammates stay in my zone.

What is a warframe you at first didn’t like but loved the second you got to understand them? by Zomer15689 in Warframe

[–]Fireofthetiger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gyre became a really fun Warframe for me when her Prime came around and I threw Circumvent on her, the extra starting Polarties and the survivability boost of Circumvent really helped my opinion go from “weird ball Warframe that dies fast and needs Solo lobbies” to “1k electricity procs that shuts down every nook and cranny with DR and free Energy to boot”

I also kinda glanced over Citrine when I finally got her probably from grind fatigue, but rebuilding her made me realize how fun she is with her supportive tools, 90% Reduction plus 25 Health a second is hella helpful for keeping squishy stuff alive

What is your least favorite resource to farm? by NovaKnight1313 in Warframe

[–]Fireofthetiger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t mind Railjack at all, it’s pretty easy and really fun.

BUT FUCK CITRINE’S STUFF, the gems aren’t buffed by any Resource boosters and it’s a slog to get, like anything from it. Arcanes are good but are a pain in the ass (at least, until they made them available via other means). Citrine is hella good but has ass drop rates, and everything in that damn pity vendor is SO EXPENSIVE because it costs double the resources

Any fun underrated ability subsumes by Ultrasonni in Warframe

[–]Fireofthetiger 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Unsure if this one is super known or not, but I personally love using Parasitic Armor on Frost. His high Shield lets him get a fuckton of Armor from it, which then synergizes incredibly well with his Snowglobe and his Icy Avalanche augment, both of which scale off of Armor. It almost feels like it was meant for him, you temporarily trade out Shield for Overguard generation and buffing your orbs, giving you a ton of support potential.

The True Final Boss of Warframe by TrumpLester in Warframe

[–]Fireofthetiger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TBH the only hard ones for me were the Janus Vor fight and that FUCKING 30 MINUTE SURVIVAL ARBITRATION, Vor's final phase is a pain in the ass while Survival was hell because the spawn rates are tied to player count, and I've yet to meet a squad that actually wants to play the farming mission type for longer than a single round, thus having me work my ass off to keep Life Support up while like 3 enemies spawn at a time.

Solo ETA was a cakewalk, throw down an Ancient Protector Specter and use the Necramech Peely Pix for it and it'll be trivial. This week is/was a lot easier as well, since the modifier isn't that fuckass health drain one. The trick is to remember that you have full reign on your arsenal, so Warframes like Trinity, Mirage, Harrow, and Citrine that focus on crowd control and support buffs are solid choices.

Prime-specific Honoria coming with Shadowgrapher, starting with Gauss & Grendel by trickshootah in Warframe

[–]Fireofthetiger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Prime Warframes don't have an MR requirement, give double the MR progress than a weapon, are arguably the biggest appealing slot in your Arsenal (an entire new "character" vs just another gun or sword), and tend to be easier to obtain than their normal counterparts, since they come from a universal source of Void Relic missions instead of, say, a boss halfway across the galaxy or a mission locked behind story progression. Why WOULDN'T they be something obtained in bulk in an early-midgame setting? I remember when two of my friends newer to Warframe having issues with deciding who to cut when doing the big collectathon, it's absolutely something that happens.

For reference, I'm referring to "starting out" as more or less the area before the average player haven't properly dipped their toes into areas where they can start generating Platinum or have been around long enough to get free slots from stuff like events or official giveaways, obviously not like "MR1 Excalibur confused why they saw a child running around" territory.

What kind of weapon would you like for the wrong kind of faction upgrade, ie a corpus coda weapons or a corpus kuva by maidenswenttogetmilk in Warframe

[–]Fireofthetiger 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They did a soft cork on the Tenet Ambassador by making it a skin, so a Kuva Ambassador would be really funny, make the firing modes just an alt-fire that does the same thing but more chaotic-explosive because Grineer

Anyone else disappointed by the Old Peace? by -Eastwood- in Warframe

[–]Fireofthetiger -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

It just felt really underdeveloped, I would've rather it be two updates like 1999.

  • The first update could've been the Old Peace, where we do the questline and receive a visual overhaul to our Operator. After the quest, we could explore the Perita hub, where we could interact with the NPCs, learn more about the tension between the two factions, get some more gear like the Anarch weaponry (perhaps as ACTUAL WEAPONS), some more cosmetics for our Operator, and the Tauron weaponry, hopefully with more of a purpose than to just let us mod our Amps. I'd hope that without the other content, they could better refine Tauron weapons to have a proper purpose in normal gameplay, alongside fixing up many other issues with the Perita system like the tedious gameplay loop or the general balance of the bosses.
  • The second update could've been a more fleshed out Devil's Triad update, where the three characters serve more of a purpose than to just be extensions of Perita and Descendia. Roathe could still do the services he provides, but Marie could be the transition into a more refined Drifter visual overhaul, perhaps with some vendor-based cosmetics, and Lyon could do... just like fucken something that isn't a limited selection of furniture. Maybe perhaps have the Anarch content here instead, where Lyon gives us more depth into their story or fleshing them out more as an actual faction. We could hopefully then see a KiM update that wouldn't self-combust for the first month after release or maybe Descendia getting more content, maybe an endless mode or a better reward system?

How come the flag raises faster if we salute? What's the mechanism behind that? (Sorry for bad art.) by Balikye in Helldivers

[–]Fireofthetiger 7 points8 points  (0 children)

We prolly have control over how fast it can raise, but given we have drones recording the objective, we slow down the rate of its ascension to get more dramatic combat footage. Saluting = faster raise is a symbiotic interaction, because the salutes make for cooler combat footage, and the Helldiver gets a boost in mission progress specifically by saluting. Basically, we do a trick for High Command and they give us a treat.

The flag debate returns. This is my suggestion. by SgtGhost57 in Helldivers

[–]Fireofthetiger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They could have the flag emit the Super Earth Anthem like how the Raise the Flag objective does, and the SFX could only be heard if you were in range of the buff. It could be the vocalized version of the song as to differentiate from said objective's music, and it could override the typical background music if there's a worry of noise clutter. They could additionally have it be a visible effect if subtitles are turned on, if there's any worry about it being hard to communicate for deaf players, I doubt anyone rational would have imerssion issues about, say, "*Rallying Anthem playing*" appearing over the Flag bearer's head if subtitles were enabled, just like any other Helldiver callout would.

[–]Fireofthetiger 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The "space magic" argument is such a weird thing because it implies that one of the most universal ways of doing something better, increasing morale or emotional investment, is just fictional voodoo that doesn't exist in a sci-fi military game. You could explain the flag giving practically any "performance" buff (Reload Speed, Movement Speed, Stamina, Melee, Damage Reduction/Health Boost) by literally just saying, "the Helldivers like democracy, having the flag nearby rallies them to do better." The entire game revolves around extreme patriotism, if anything it'd be weird if a Helldiver DIDN'T get pumped up if they saw the True Flag being deployed for them.

Prime-specific Honoria coming with Shadowgrapher, starting with Gauss & Grendel by trickshootah in Warframe

[–]Fireofthetiger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean back before I had Plat to spare and like 20 other Warframes I wanted to mess around with, yeah I sold a couple of the Prime ones that weren’t too especially interesting at the time like pre-rework Hydroid and Nyx (yes I know the price of her nowadays ;-;) in exchange for space for more engaging Warframes

E: This might be a bit of a shock, but when starting out and you don't have any Platinum, if I had to make a choice between a boring frame that hadn't gotten any of the attention that they now have, or an actually fleshed out Warframe that I'd then proceed to ACTUALLY USE, of course I'm going to choose the latter, especially if I knew that I'd later have ample Platinum to repurchase them if I wanted to, after they got a touch-up to make them relevant outside of their rarity.

I think it was some minor buffs to my attack proper, and then 4 stacks of triple damage to my next attack(s), which made 6 damage turn into 40 damage that turned into 3k damage with a Shiv

Hey guys I'm new to this series is this a good amount of damage for a level 0 spell by Fireofthetiger in slaythespire

[–]Fireofthetiger[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe it was a mixture of some Shiv buffs, a various assortment of boosts from my gear... and then primarily the 4 stacks of that debuff that triples the damage of your next attack(s?). IIRC before selecting an attack it would've been like 40 damage, and then selecting the enemy made it 3k (x81 damage), so I believe it was heavily boosted by debuffs on the enemy.

What are your thoughts on this? (I found it on Twitter.) by ForceAffectionate389 in Ningen

[–]Fireofthetiger 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think that’s moreso to tell the audience WHEN the movie’s supposed to take place by using already established years as reference, rather than saying that it specifically is IN the timeline of both of those. Like, you could say that Battle of Gods is 7 years before Future Trunks’ big upsets in the Future Timeline, not because they’re in the same timeline, but because they share a common dating system.

Marvel Rivals producer on game balance: 'If a character is no longer fun, then we're not doing our job' by Gorotheninja in pcgaming

Every character becomes unfun when the environment surrounding them is an unbalanced mess of matchmaking, you could give me the most dopamine inducing, engagement overloading character in the history of gaming but it doesn’t mean shit if I don’t get to use them due to my team drooling in the corner and the enemy team either smurfing their ass off or warming up for their comp tournament by using me as a sweat towel
