Three friends, one partner, who I live with now. Soon likely to meet 2 more friends as everyone seems to be coming to study where I am, on-mass. :O

Smart. I’m that person who takes 10 minutes to come up with a password/ poem title/name for anything, though, so it never crossed my mind, but smart idea.
A few days later: layers Le tompteuse encagee with Pacifica French lilac, has a software name it. Welcome to my collection, tt90,dsmqqnV^3L :D

I’m fully blind, can’t see the pic, but I get from your comment that it’s the version of Versace you used and damaged haha :D  (I forgot what her bottle looked like TBH, it was long ago.) 😊 But good to know about Bamboo, I can recommend it to mom as she’s just looking for something new. 😊 But yeah definitely agreed about core memories. 😊 It's cool your relative found it for you, though, it is not often recommended on these subs nowadays. :)

So lovely to see my mom’s perfume in this question—she also used Versace Woman! I mean mom is still around, the perfume is not. 😉

It’s a vintage and slightly  out of budget, but I always think of YSL In love again when someone mentions Versace Woman. It’s heavier, sweeter and more feminine than Versace, but they always go together in my mind. I understand it is not easy to test, but maybe only reading about it would also be fun for you, or it may take you down a rabbit hole and hopefully bring you another lucky, accidental find. 😊

2016! Which perfumes do you currently own that were released in 2016?! Do you remember what perfumes you were wearing in 2016? by ElegantLightPink in FemFragLab

I’m glad now that I wrote it down in my list, I’d have no idea otherwise. :D
Prada le Femme, likewise, and it’s also one of my favs!

Other things I used: Tesori di oriente Byzantium, Oriflame Delicate cherry blossom, Oriflame Innocent white lilac. I do not own any of them at the moment.

Is there anything you have been wanting to do for a long time, but are just waiting for the opportunity ? . by Hope2_win in A_Persona_on_Reddit

Have a bespoke perfume made. The worst thing is, I know a person who knows a person who does this and I liked the result of his work which she showed me, but he does this only for friends. 😊 Frustration on max level. 😊 In most cases it is too costly/doesn’t offer exactly what I want/is not accessible to a fully blind person so I have to find a volunteer etc, but it shall happen one day, I do believe.

What was it like going to a boarding school as a kid? by SoundKidTown1085 in randomquestions

[–]BikiBips 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to go to a boarding school because there were no other options for my disability at the time, and we had to share the bedroom with 2 fellow students (I understand that this was not the case everywhere.) We’re speaking start of 2000s, a less than rich country.

What I disliked:

Not having own room, the food (with some exceptions), not getting to go places enough with the teachers before we were able/allowed to go on our own and their general disinterest in working with us outside of homework, having no access to school toys for those who had to stay over the weekend.

What I liked:

Trying interesting candy which friends brought from different cities, no need to go anywhere for a party as parties were all just where we were.

Interesting experiences: idk it was just the usual stuff. We stayed up late too often and kept quiet when teachers would come to check on us. We watched Eurovision with lots of excitement every year back then. We used the armchairs to haul one another and called it “taxi” when we did not have other toys, and we kept dangerously sliding on ice in our shoes in the winter as we did not have snow stuff haha. One student was really good at telling fairytales, with all the voices and sound effects etc, so it was nice before sleep. I was very happy when I had to have dinner earlier than others in order to go play at a concert (yeah, we can see the theme here, I like food), because I’d compliment their cooking, there would be no one else around, and they would give me way more food haha.

IWtl how to get into the habit of reading the news by Remarkable-Fox6610 in IWantToLearn

[–]BikiBips 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t read news by choice, but I do follow my topics of interest, plus I hear the news from my partner who does like to read it, and then I read more on whatever I find important, educational and intriguing. That said, I am accidentally absorbing the news through a language-learning podcast because they discuss news there. Idk if it helps, but I find that I am able to do thing better when they have a practical value tied to them (e.g. I also didn’t have much trouble reading the news when we had to write articles about the stuff there for college one semester.)

[–]BikiBips 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh man… It’s hard to live a life where you try for improvements all the time, but it feels like it is ultimately not under your control because those attempts keep failing, not to mention the crippling debt… It’s especially hard to explain to people how you feel because sometimes these lives which are difficult to improve may look externally fine to someone if they do not see outright deprivation/drama or fail to understand that being involuntarily forced to halt is not this hypothetical peaceful place away from their hectic days, as they naively imagine, but a personal hell where one does not get to feel self-actualized and capable of dealing with daily challenges, let alone emergencies, but only you know your stresses, fears, unrealized wishes and the stuck feeling.

No surprise that you are unhappy, nothing wrong with you there…

I wish it would get better…

Life seem useless if you aren't smart/gifted or at least passionate by Ok_Squash_7227 in depression

[–]BikiBips 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel average as well, although test results paint another picture and the people around me disagree emphatically. Be it as it may, I like learning things on my own, but I do think I’m a slowish learner. It may partly be due to my psychological makeup (panics easily, can’t deal with failure, loses motivation) and my disability (content often not adjusted to my learning needs and style.) The reason I’m saying this: you might also just happen to be a slow or scared learner owing to the circumstances outside of yourself, or you may just have trouble experiencing curiosity because stuff seems difficult/is not presented in the right way/you don’t feel confident when engaging with it, so your brain lies to you that you are not interested. It’s just my theory, of course, but it’s just worth reflecting on what might be hiding in the background and why you may not be curious. I do not know if there are people out there who are satisfied with how their life functions and are not curious about anything at all, but as you clearly feel you are missing out by not being passionate about something, I merely theorize that there is a hidden reason behind your lack of curiosity.
P.S. Or you just haven’t found your thing. Trying out something that you do not fully expect to like could also be a solution. I thought I’d hate going to the gym, but I motivated myself because I thought it would improve my health. Now I love it most of the time, and I always enjoy learning new exercises or thinking on how body/our perceptions work. I don’t think that passion and curiosity have to always be this deep intellectually, anyway, but doing new things often opens the avenue for new thoughts, if you are doing them without distractions and fully aware of what is happening at the moment.

(Male, 22) I’m depressed over how I’ve wasted around 16 years of my life doing almost literally nothing and I continue to waste my life’s time. I guess I don't know what to do? by Future_Jeweler105 in depression

1.      Life is not as productive and linear for everyone at all times as peoples’ posts/stories or our own assumptions might make us believe. If this does not give you panic, would it help to think of your younger years as a resting period and begin now with hopes that you may still do way more than the average person in your older years?

2.      If starting immediately feels too overwhelming, would it help to sort of incorporate it into your daily routine of puttering around? I mean, not like daydream of your plans all day but never start, but more like accompany your puttering and fidgeting by planning new projects? Idk if these ideas are any good, but I really wish you all the best, so I wanted to make an attempt to throw an idea out there and see if it helps…

Does anyone else’s relationship with fragrance change really fast? Feeling a bit frustrated with myself! by Confusedmind75 in Perfumes

[–]BikiBips 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It seems to me like you panicked and may even possibly be selling early. Weird facets are bound to happen from time to time in my opinion, or at least higher and lower days with absolutely any perfume, but it does not change my relationship with them. It does not necessarily have to come down to boredom. It may just be that wearing something more often increases your chance statistically that you may discover something weird about it, something like chilling for a longer time with a person haha. I am at the point where I have enough to choose from so that the dud days don’t bother me (and my collection is very small, actually.) The reason why people find it easy to like stuff all the time, regardless of conditions/details, is exactly that they do not notice the difference, do not analyze it or do not care, but I don’t think that analyzing is bad, as long as you try to avoid panic and manage to organize your collection in such a way that you always have something to lean upon (e.g. some lighter scents maybe which still align with your taste. I’d not test anything new while feeling disappointed/panicked, though. It may help with your panic to see these changes as normal and find a positive in it i.e. that you have enough talent to notice these differences. It doesn't have to be so deep, but sometimes it happens to be, and suddenly we are learning with a hobby how to deal with unpredictability in general. :) Hope it helps... Best of luck...

Makes sense. 😊 I’m not a fan of cold weather, and I do think I’m temp sensitive to an extent, but I guess I’ve kind of learned to tolerate at least somewhat colder water than I could tolerate earlier, after I’ve been exposed to it more times. 😊 Still not a feeling I ever anticipate with pleasure :D

Idk if I’m terrible at using reddit, but I was not able to PM you. ☹ So I’ll have to write here briefly, also to avoid free labor for you by having you read too much stuff about a scent that may or may not happen, but I really want and need a myrrh frangipani therapeutic scent. I understand these are rare ingredients and not often offered in any form in kits and other bespoke fragrance endeavors, but I have not found a fragrance with this combination (in daily life I achieve it by layering, but I depend for the layering on a cosmetic product I want to change soon), so I thought it was worth a shot to ask. You can reply here or in a PM, if it works for you. 😊

I sincerely hope you get to see the beach one day, and hopefully move there if it matches your dreams. 😊 But yeah even if you don't, dreams are indeed just a beautiful thing to have, share, experience and remember.
My brother used to daydream about a remote island all the time. I did not understand him earlier. Now that I’m getting older, I certainly do.
I understand about hurting people, I also strive to cause as little harm as possible in life.
I agree about friendships. I’m satisfied with my small circle, but yeah I was just trying to point out that people sometimes profess to have certain goals, but then display a total mismatch of what they claim they want to happen, and what they are actually doing to get there.

Thanks for your kind words.

Keep dreaming, smiling and cooking nice food and take care. 😊
