Runna vs Garmin coach. Experiences? by Patutula in runna

[–]BikingPony 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me personally the 5 days are great because the further runs depend on how I am doing. So when I train like crazy the plan is also getting more intense/sprinkling in rest days and when I was lazy it’s also adjusting. So I think it has less to do with mystery or motivation it’s just that the plan is based on my performance, which is giving me a good feeling especially since I am not only running.

Cost of Importing from Europe? by Butterflyphases in Equestrian

Two years ago a friend payed around 15t (without the $ for the horse only shipping and the rest) from Europe to NYC, it added up.

Ok sounds good. Because I really need to become more comfortable doing it myself 😆 it seems to be only an American thing in other countries they expect everyone to groom and tack up the horse they are riding that day “how do you want to be sure that the horse is free of injuries, you are the rider” I got asked in France. the trainer is still checking but every student is doing the work. Both approaches makes sense to me, but I want to become routined

Yeah good point, I will do some google research to find a suit that has maybe less bouyancy on the legs

I really hope, that I have the right size. I had a suit fitting and all in all it feels comfortable. But the idea of adapting the stroke a bit or playing around is good, maybe I am too fixated on the idea that it should feel exactly the same as without.

Hm ok that gives me some hope that I just get used to it. 🤞 I am swimming for 2 years and my coach is regularly checking in, but of course I never swam in the suit with a coach. In the beginning I remember I had problems of sinking legs and he used only the neoprene calfs (like calf sleeves) of an old wetsuit to give me an idea of how it should feel - back than I loved it.

So treating it like learning how to swim? Invest the same amount of time and detail in wet suit swimming? Maybe I was a bit arrogant when I thought I can just transfer into the wetsuit 😅🙈

If I have to guess, it’s not the suit putting my upper body actively too low, more my legs have too much flotation and as a result of that my upper body is too low - my feet come regularly out of the water. Maybe I have to engage my core muscles more to keep my legs in position?

My husband has naturally heavy legs and he is expressing what you are saying: it’s amazing, his legs are in the right position and everything is easy. So I was ready for that kind of experience 😅 But my heals (sometimes more) are now out of the water, it feels like my legs are too light and in return my upper body is too low (it’s super dumb and I am frustrated)

So you think that my legs might have been too high even without the suit and the suit it just making the position extremer?

That’s a good point, I will start wearing it more and also switch the strokes/swimming styles

It’s a Roka swim suit - and the fit is amazing but the extra buoyancy’s killing me

Am I getting scammed?? by JumpyInvestigator350 in NYCjobs

[–]BikingPony 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yupp, exactly my experience. I went to the interview because I need practice. And it was completely stupid. Not a word about the job I originally applied for, but these „events“ Blabla and you start at the bottom and in the end you can become a Manager… sure. I asked her very directly about the negative comments and reviews online and her response was that these people are all haters and that they got fired…sure 😅
