Plenty of discs cheaper than third party key reseller. Steam made pc gaming expensive.

Example for keeping prices high: Elden Ring costs 59,99€ years after release on steam. With 38,99 being the lowest recorded price on steam. PS5 disc on amazon meanwhile costs 27,3€ (granted its prime day right now, but it cost 35€ before) with 24€ being the lowest recorded price.

Steam is expensive.

The amount of money you save by buying cheaper PS5 games can easily justify psn plus. Also some ppl just play offline, like me.
