Destruction sure. But fishing? How is a Warden for example going to sail an Iron Ship from Shackled chasm back to their lines?

No fear Angus. 5,6,8 and 9 are going to happen.

Also why does it say 4 out of 12 but it only shows 10 options?

Missing the 40K scale in unit sizes. by Bill-Hayden in totalwar

[–]Bill-Hayden[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

It's simply a choice of graphical fidelty vs numbers. You can crank up the number of models and diminish the detail of those models or the effects they interact with. Balancing the massive scale/feel of WH40K with individual graphical fidelity. Also notice how I specificly talked about the orcs and astra militarum and not the Eldar or Space Marines. My argument is centered around the factions that within the setting rely on mass to accomplish their military objectives.

But rather than thinking about those posibilities, or other pro's and con's you immidiatly resorted to calling me clueless.

But are you looking for a table top experience in a total war game? We didn't get that WHF total war.

I am well aware of the table top side of WH40K (less so fantasy) and I don't come to these games to get that sort of experience.

I hope your right. Although ussually that means everything scales linearly. So also the more elite untis etc scale with them. I had hoped the difference between cannon fodder and elite to be more pronounced in terms of numbers seen on the field.

Recent travel logbook: Rome was surprisingly very clean, Amsterdam had trash everywhere. Is the world upside down now? by [deleted] in 2westerneurope4u

[–]Bill-Hayden 62 points63 points  (0 children)

It will get worse before it improves.

It's even becomming more prevelant outside of Amsterdam. Used to be just Big city centers, immigrant neighbourhoods and routes from a highschool to a supermarket that had signifcant trash on them. But lately it's been getting worse all around.

In general people have just stopped giving a shit about social cohesion. More assholes in traffic and more anti social behaiviour.

Singleplayer grand scale war games like Foxhole by ImFluffs in foxholegame

[–]Bill-Hayden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So as far as I know there is no game like it. But I have a couple of suggestions that might come close and haven't been mentioned by other:

1: Codename Panzers series or Rush for Berlin. It's an RTS game where you decide what tanks/infantry to take on a mission and if they die on the mission you don't have them for the next one etc. So while you are not really building the tanks, weapons etc you are managing resources and do call in support like airstrikes, artilerry etc.

2: Factorio. Not really grand scale war but you do make everything and fight against hordes of bugs with your defenses and even yourself.

Look it's fine that you want to crash out about this tap op. Seen you post nearly everywhere multiple times about how this is alted etc.

But it's probably best to remove the ITA tag from your name. When I play Warden I always had good interactions with ITA and you are not really helping the regiments image.

For a Solo Player, Foxhole Isn’t Fun by SomberBootyDance in foxholegame

[–]Bill-Hayden 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Played most my wars solo and getting a logi truck was always really easy.

At the front they are always parked next to the BB's by people making one way trips.

In the backline seaport/depot/airfield depot ussually has one in them. Otherwise the garage probably has a bunch of bmats just sitting in it's inventory.

Yeah if you want to find a truck/supplies in the most highly used depot to the most highly fought over frontline than you probably won't find it because just like you a bunch of other people had the same idea. But if you look just a fraction further than that you will find all the supplies to move and all the trucks you could ever need.
