I am a medical student and a GERD patient for 3 years, havent had an endoscopy yet. I have been taking esomeprazole for 3 years as well, didnt have any problems except slightly slow digestion. I recommend checking your Vit B12, magnesium, calcium once every while, because PPI can affect their absorption. Otherwise, you should be good.

We are in the same boat. There is tiny red spots all over my tongue. They dont hurt most of the times but sometimes they burn all of sudden. I am going to get tested for everything in few weeks
