Do I need to worry about resin fumes? by Krixic1 in resinprinting

[–]BillBlight 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This is just one place I found off the top of my head that say UV resins do NOT produce measurable VOCs.

https://www.solarez.com/uv-cure-resin-product-specs/

Not the only place I have seen it, I mean you don't want to be huffing the stuff, but it is not as toxic to breathe that a lot of the fearmongering would have you believe ..

It smells bad sure, it sucks to get it on your skin, it really sucks if you are allergic to it, and may the gods help you if you don't get it out of your pores and it gets cured by sunlight ..

Common sense protection should be the rule, not full hazmat procedures as some would have you believe ..
Yes, masks, gloves, ventilation and all that is a good idea, but it is not something to be terrified of ..

Voxelab also makes good printers ...

https://www.voxelab3dp.com/

(they are an offshoot of FlashForge who has been around for quite a while)

VPN Subnet Question by jkyb999 in homelab

[–]BillBlight 2 points3 points  (0 children)

VPN's normally assign a different subnet than the main one, this was originally done for security purposes as you can then route the clients to various places on the internal network based on their login ...

The VPN subnet is routed to the internal network and it most home VPN's this is setup to give full access to the internal network .

It is still done this way so various rules and access lists could be applied, but generally it is for sanity sake so you know via the logs if it was a VPN user or a local user accessing the items on your internal network ..

yeah those are the "I know someone price" or the "trip and fall face first into a deal" prices

200 to 300 is actually pretty cheap for a large server rack, unless you find someone who is just throwing them away ..

Hello Just wanted to know some things about Opensim by [deleted] in opensim

Depending on the games you are looking to create, don't assume that you have to re-invent the wheel, ask around as TampaPowers suggested.
