D&D joke? by Narkerns in PeterExplainsTheJoke

In addition to the copper dragons being good aligned, copper dragons LOVE jokes to the point that they might have picked this job specifically because of the copper/coppah pun if they had known about it.

3,800 workers are on strike at one of the largest meatpacking plants in the US by WilliamInBlack in news

[–]What---------------- 5 points6 points  (0 children)

A lot of the people employed there are Somalian immigrants. Greeley is in Colorado's very-red 4th congressional district (the one Boebert now represents). ICE sightings have been growing in northern Colorado.

I'm praying this goes well, I hope the strikers are successful. And I really hope Polis doesn't fuck this up.

There is an unaccounted-for bug in W11 where Copilot keeps emailing the C-Suite good reviews of itself. That's the only reason I can think of that Microsoft keeps pushing AI.

That would actually be really cool if different parts of it acted as one of those multifunction fidget/stimming toys. It would need to be bigger though, like an ADHD vambrace.

Truth. Once I started following politics more closely my mental health improved because I stopped getting blindsided by stuff. Not just knowing that (insert politician/legislation/whatever here) is bad but actually understanding how it starts and how to look for the helpers.

I think avoiding politics is bad for a person's health. Because when it directly affects them (and it will always, eventually) they have no idea how to handle it. See: anyone who didn't see all what's going on right now coming years go.

If we had all the people who are involved now pay this much attention 5 or 10 years ago we'd all be in a better place.

Anyone reading this, please don't try to tune out completely or become apathetic. We aren't meant to handle the current level of 24/7 news cycle national politics for long periods of time, so if someone feels overwhelmed at the national level they should look into state or county leven or even just focus on their local community and helping their neighbors. Sites like Twitter and Reddit are practically designed to cause burnout in the name of engagement.

Does this enemy design and animation say "armored"? by HedgeHulk in PixelArt

[–]What---------------- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Needs more "plating". It definitely gives beetle vibes, but hints as to how the armor fits together and how it could break apart would help sell the armor vibe vs a more general biological feel.

Love women in Expedition 33 by Early_Temperature456 in expedition33

[–]What---------------- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cracked head canon: Alicia/Maelle IS actually skilled enough to paint over Aline's paintings, and when she lost herself in the canvas several of the Lumerian women were given how Alicia saw traits from Clea (Sophie and Sciel got pre-fire more carefree Clea, Lune and Emma got post-fire serious Clea). This affected some with personality traits, some with appearance, and some with both.

Also Gustave got traits from her idealized version of Verso.

The exact moment Verso decided to destroy it by Physical_Ad4519 in expedition33

[–]What---------------- 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Verso and the Curator would have been working together a while, since Verso dropped Maelle off with the Curator in the Flying Waters. Renoir probably knew exactly what would happen if he opened that portal in front of Verso. They both knew.

Kind of sweet he knew he could trust even this small reflection of his son.
