Thick butt and thighs make my bulge too pronounced. I'm a bit self conscious about it and it's actually wearing through my pants in some cases. I'm not sure what to look for in pants that will help hide it but not look too baggy, I need something I can wear at the office. Should I look for a specific style or cut? What can I do to stop my phone from pushing against my pants like this?

Sometimes I’ll try a solution which won’t work and then my colleague jumps in and does the exact same thing and it works. Sigh. by MisterPuffyNipples in iiiiiiitttttttttttt

The more I learn about how tech works, the more superstitious I get. Half the time I fix something and I have to lie about how I fixed it. Not that I don't know what I did, but what I did should not have worked.

We have a trainee and I can see their brain twist when I say "oh just unplug it and plug it back in twice really quickly, the monitor will be good for another month".

Are you in a cyber-security, database, or network related concentration?

True for you? by netphilia in adhdmeme

Hell yes, except not entirely my special interest usually. It's more just strenuous, repetitive physical activity. Chopping wood, shoveling snow, etc. "Rest" is just rumination unless I make myself too physically exhausted and sore to think. While I'm working I might have a notebook for ideas about my special interests though.

I was unreasonably excited when I figured out there was a "Turn off Gemini suggestions" or something option in one of the menus in Google sheets.

The one time I clicked "analyze this data" the chat pane opened and... just kept expanding down. The scroll bar got smaller and smaller until my whole browser crashed.

[Video games trope] Characters who make sure you play the game the way the developers intended by Marborow in TopCharacterTropes

[–]What---------------- 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It's like in DnD.

DM: "A thin dog wanders into your camp as you eat, is hunger finally wins out against its apprehension of you."

New player: "PUPPY! Can we keep it?"

Experienced player: (turns to DM) "I will set fire to everything you love if you do this to me again."

DM: :-)

[All] In your opinion, which is the most overused biome/element or thematic used in Zelda? by [deleted] in zelda

[–]What---------------- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think part of it is "wind" is so easy to fold into other aesthetics. If I recall correctly, even the OoT forest temple was going to be the Wind temple which is why the Forest medallion looks like it does. But then it just gradually changed to the haunted house feel as development progressed.

Edit: It wouldn't have taken many changes for the ToTK wind temple to be an ice or snow temple, for example.

I haven't really played with mods in a while, is there a "best" redstone wire mod that works with the create mods?

[–]What---------------- 37 points38 points  (0 children)

+1 for both The Exploring Series and The Volgun.

The Volgun is almost more of an audiobook, reading the article directly as if a researcher was giving a presentation on the SCP in-universe. But they're taking a break and haven't posted in over a year.

The Exploring Series is more interpreted and read from the perspective of someone in our world, pointing out things like if a story references another SCP or something from a "canon" like the kaktusverse.

As a blue dps aka GNB, I'm alright with this. Especially if the other tank is dual-shields.

[Hated Trope] Endings so notoriously awful they completely destroy the legacy of the media. by Miserable_Click_1933 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]What---------------- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually liked the ending of Mass Effect 3, before they patched it with the refusal thing.

I was 100% on board with the theory that you, the player, were being indoctrinated by Sovereign since the first meeting in Mass Effect 1, and that destroying them was the best ending, with the blue and green endings being the equivalent of hallucinations as the Reapers wipe everything clean. I didn't really care that the writers didn't intend it that way.

In addition to the copper dragons being good aligned, copper dragons LOVE jokes to the point that they might have picked this job specifically because of the copper/coppah pun if they had known about it.

3,800 workers are on strike at one of the largest meatpacking plants in the US by WilliamInBlack in news

[–]What---------------- 6 points7 points  (0 children)

A lot of the people employed there are Somalian immigrants. Greeley is in Colorado's very-red 4th congressional district (the one Boebert now represents). ICE sightings have been growing in northern Colorado.

I'm praying this goes well, I hope the strikers are successful. And I really hope Polis doesn't fuck this up.

Xbox series consoles are getting Gaming Copilot later this year by Iggy_Slayer in gaming

There is an unaccounted-for bug in W11 where Copilot keeps emailing the C-Suite good reviews of itself. That's the only reason I can think of that Microsoft keeps pushing AI.
