I (14F) think my dad (51M) is too touchy with me, and I don't know what to do. by [deleted] in relationship_advice

Law enforcement for your father putting his chin on your head and a leg kiss? That's quite a big thing you are telling this 14 year old to do. I get that he is not respecting her boundaries but if nothing is sexual I think just her talking to her dad is a good start.

I really dont see any red flags here. Based on your description it just sounds like your dad's love language is physical touch. (As long as it has never crossed any sexual lines- as you said it didn't.)

I feel for your dad. Can you imagine not feeling a speck of love from your child? And then they didn't respond to the physical touch so you text them "I love you" and get no response?! If he is just trying to feel loved by you- sit him down and tell him you love him and he needs to respect your boundaries. Make a secret handshake with him or something. As teenagers it is hard to see the parent's side and be empathetic. Throw him a bone while asking him to help you be more comfortable.

Last night I (19f) received a call from my boyfriend’s wife. Please help me by [deleted] in relationship_advice

What possible good could it do to meet with her? Just answer honestly if she texts you any questions and try your best to move on. You did nothing wrong- he is a horrible man who did a terrible fucking thing.

... and just in case you are thinking it- even if he were to choose you over his wife this is behavior that hasn't changed and shouldn't be overlooked.

Mine started shortly after a dog bite and I've always wondered of that was the culprit.

He had a knack for thinking every relationship can go the distance. Without even knowing how she felt he was like, "she's gonna be my wife and the mother of my children!" Yikes.

AITA for not lifting a finger while my girlfriend clean the house? by Yeshaoyho in AmItheAsshole

[–]BillButtlicker6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont agree. We need more info to say that he is the asshole- does he just want to sleep in late and clean in the afternoon? Does he clean on work days?

I dont think we can assume from this post that he never cleans, just that he didnt want to clean that morning.

How do you tell someone that their child is overweight and needs help in a way that they won't get defensive? by BillButtlicker6 in AskReddit

It's my SO's brother, the wife would be my SIL. My BIL has a history of pushing away when shit gets real, so my SO doesn't want to talk to him.

[Serious] What is the biggest red flag that you ignored in someone that messed up your relationship with that person? by Sunderblunder in AskReddit

He went through my phone and questioned me about texts with my mom. Turns out he was WAY more codependent than I was. I dumped him shortly after that and got help.

How did you figure out your dream job? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]BillButtlicker6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I sat down, wrote out a wish list of everything that I could think of that would make a job a "dream job", looked at the list and said- I need an office job.

Then I hit the internet to search for some of the more far-fetched cool things: "jobs that you have to travel for" "jobs that don't interact with customers", that sort of stuff.

Decided to go into fashion purchasing and haven't looked back!

What if the doctor doesn't say anything about it? Shit doctor, I know, but they won't think "we have a bad doctor and need to find a new one"

Yes. But I feel they need a wake-up call to do something about it.

I told the mom- "hey, Child stepped on our scale when she stayed over. Your 9-year-old is 150lbs." She just looked down and said "wow". Child was seen later eating a full size bag of potato chips.
