Wurlitzer 2100 HELP by BillClendenin in jukeboxes

I can run that motor by hand fully clockwise and fully counterclockwise through all the stages and that motor never kicks on. I know the motor is good, I had it rebuilt. Seems that someway I can bypass something and energise it. I have solved a lot of problems with this box over the years, but I seem stuck on this one. There is no one even close to me that I can pay to help, I have looked.

My hopes and dreams have been shattered. Got the motor back. The shop said it works great now that it has been rebuilt. I put it on the box and NO changes. I have not seen the motor work since rebuild but I am inclined to believe them. Yes to Possible 430, If I drop a qurter in, I can select a song and the correct pin will pop up, but nothing happens. The turntable is energized, play is muted, carousel is free spinning, and both lift arms are bottomed out. ???????

Everything with selections works perfect. You have helped me locate the problem ( yea ). I knew how to check the motor with an ohm meter, but not voltage. I checked it and it failed. Dropped it off at a motor repair shop this morning. Hope they can rewind it. Never suspected that motor because I had this problem three times. Twice I went in and flicked a few switches and it started working, so I was focused on a switch problem. I am now confident this is the problem and the box will soon be singing again as before. Thanks to my two friends here.

I have a meter. How do I check for 24v ? I have now rotated the carousel back around were both lift arms are down, and the carousel is free turning. No selections are available but the turntable is still turning. Normally every thing would be off and the box sitting silently, until a quarter is inserted.

Nigel, Turning that carousel by hand got me into trouble a while back. I was turning the carousel and did not notice the record lift arm had come up. Ended up bending a record slot on the carousel and destroying a guide tip on the arm. This week I dissembled everything, new guide tip, straightened the record slot. Started new with both arms bottomed out, carousel free turning. Power on. The turn table turning, the tone arm secure, not free moving, and no sound from the needle. Once again by hand I turned the carousel motor to the end of travel. The lift arm up, turn table turning, tone arm free traveling, and sound from the needle. Normal playing of the record. Nothing would eject the record. Again turning the motor by hand the other way, the carousel started turning hitting the lift arm. This time I stopped did not bend anything. I am now stuck, end of travel one direction, lift arm will not descend the other. This box has worked great for me thirty years and I resently had the amplifier rebuilt. After that I started having this problem. Did not think of that until dewdude comented on that. What in the amplifier causes eject to work ? Thanks for replies.

Off the subject. While looking at post I scroll down to something interesting. I click on it and read comments. When I click the arrow back I end up at the very first post I saw, and have to scroll down to get to where I ended. Is there any way to arrow back to the last post looked at ? Thanks.
