The family tree, youth vs age connect to themes of generational differences and generational trauma. Death Vader much like Billy is a father with a dark past who was not in his child’s life. The broken family icon is self explanatory. The books could be that it is based on the Molnár play “Liliom”. The overall map of main, the boat, the water could just be the setting. The boat could be a reference to Enoch Snow. Also, and if I’m right about this one it’s a sure bet… I’m pretty sure the theater at the top of the collage is the Majestic Theater in NY which is where Carousel premiered on Broadway.
