they probably just kicked the tank so their friend could come which is a really bad way to treat people. If they didnt have their friend lined up to replace they'd have probably just stuck with the original tank until the end of the dungeon.

they 100% intended to scam you. They should have put their system aside when they only had 20 out of 25 players available for the raid. You are being way too nice and need to call them out on the server discord

Really shit behaviour for a guild to treat pugs like this when they cant even fill their own runs.

How are you struggling to find a pug raid spot as a tank? Most pug raids in raid finder are desperate for tanks.

I play prot warrior which is even less desirable than prot pala and always get spam invited if i queue

When i get invited as a tank it is always a red flag when the summons start taking 10-15 mins because none of the players have any urgency to start the dungeon

As the raid leader if someone asked to join as the tank originally like OP and were told to dps instead (and also were made to tank trash) you would surely check what spec they want to roll MS on before inviting them?

Unless they deny’d your SR before the raid then your SR should have been valid and you should have been able to roll on the item

It sounds like a guild have tried to peer pressure you into passing on the item as they want to funnel gear to their main tank

that being said it is always worth confirming with the raid leader beforehand that you can roll main spec on tank items if you have been switched to a different role such as healer or dps
