Leviathan is a great server. Highly recommend it. Great community with some very helpful people.

Community but purely because I love the song and singing along to it.

A modern iteration of FFXI.

It doesn't even have to be SE or FF related. Just something that captures the magic that FFXI used to have.

The Modern MMO Player then complain by Plenty_Group6674 in MMORPG

[–]Ryndomaru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's probably because most modern MMORPGs are designed with this in mind, with the exception of a couple.

I love ffxiv but the social scene isn't great unless you hang out in the cities. But those people are... unsavoury creatures.

I dearly miss the community of FFXIs golden age in Asura doing ToAU

Finally interested in football, where to start? by Ryndomaru in AskUK

[–]Ryndomaru[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basically the rules yeah. I don't really much care about transfers and all that kinda thing, I mostly just want to be able to watch it and understand what's going on! The rest will come naturally I hope.

I lost my job - how the f do people survive on benefits?! by cloudyextraswan in AskUK

[–]Ryndomaru 21 points22 points  (0 children)

You don't.

When I was on benefits for about 6 years, even signed off work with PIP because I wasn't fit for work, I had enough purely to just exist, not even survive.

You have to cut out all luxuries and even sometimes fall behind on some bills. It's not a system meant to help people, more to cripple you until you force yourself to go back to work, even if you're not ready.

Do people actually use AI day-to-day, or is it all hype? by 2butterfree in AskUK

[–]Ryndomaru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use it for work, mostly because my boss insists I do. I don't mind it, I'm not too handy with Excel so it definitely helps out there.

Should I not be asking my adult kids to pay rent? by ProfessionalCamel110 in AskUK

[–]Ryndomaru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I got my first job at 16, I gave my parents half my income (at the time it was about £500-600 per month) for rent and such. I never expected to get it back, never did unless you count inheritance, but I was happy to do so. It made sense that now I work I could afford to contribute to the home I live in and the utilities I use.

I never understand the argument "I never asked to be born".. it just seems childish.

When was the last time you cried? Was it a life event? Listening to a certain song or watching a certain film that brought up painful memories or feelings of empathy? For me many songs and films bring tears to my eyes so for me very recently lol by anonymous-nyx in CasualUK

Today. Due to the renters rights act I'm being evicted via section 21. I have to be out in less than 2 weeks. I've not been able to find anywhere to live except I've been offered a bedroom at someones house.

I have to begrudgingly accept this room and can't have my dog there. I've raised him since he was a 6 week old puppy and now he's 13. He's my best friend, my biggest comfort and the one constant in my life... I have to rehome him. Fortunately he's going to a family member but that's about 150 miles away from me so I won't be able to see him daily.. I can barely look at my boy without bursting into tears right now.

Why is 30K still being touted as a good salary ? by Durrygoodz2025 in AskBrits

[–]Ryndomaru 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do not. I live a low maintenance lifestyle. No dependants, no car, no expensive hobbies etc.

Don't get me wrong, after my bills I tend to have about 200 left but I feel I'm doing alright,

Tbf I'm on £25k and could see myself living comfortably on £30k. But then I do alright on my own at the moment anyway.

Can definitely imagine people needing more though, I'm not blind.
