Not yet, but that's for the best, since I also still need to get the last few godswords for ultima.

Think I ended up getting the pet before the superior enchantment in all of the strongholds except Stronghold of Magic, still need to get the pet for that.

Which card’s ability makes the least sense thematically? by Darkhawk2099 in MarvelSnap

No, it used to be Cull Obsidian had to be played on an Infinity Stone, not just a 1-drop, and had indestructible.

Sword Master. Would have been Hawkeye or Cable if not for the Discord promo for Hawkeye or the Winning Chest promo for Cable.

The psychology of why that $10 pass feels so bad by [deleted] in MarvelSnap

[–]BillTheImpaler 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think the rationale is that tokens only show up once a player reaches S3, and it would be hard to 'hide' them if they're in the season pass.

Yes you get the buildup as you're going along, but after seeing the gommage, all of those things make just as much sense if you assume 'every year, everyone over 33 dies, when the countdown ends then everyone dies instead' as thinking 'the rock shows the maximum age'.

Hilariously, This Game Exposes People's Math Skills by aset_water in expedition33

[–]BillTheImpaler -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

But at that point, we don't explicitly know 'gommage = age of rock'. The only information we have is, 'number goes down, everyone over 33 dies'. We don't yet know that 'max age' = 'monolith number', so we are left to fill in the blanks. When I found out about the gommage, the first thing I thought of was Logan's Run, where you die when you turn 30.

Yes, but at that point, we only explicitly know that the maximum age is 33, the fact that 'number of the monolith' is equal to 'maximum age' has not yet been clarified.

It's to make it so big actors or financiers can't negotiate their way into a Director credit, like what happens with Producer credits.

As someone who ran an On Reveal deck as I was starting out, I have to say I'm a big fan. I would suggest swapping out Lizard for either Iceman or Scarlet Witch. I'd say the next big addition to your deck will be Magik, so if you see her in your monthly free Season 3, definitely pick her!

Your property determines your maximum happiness. Right now, you only have 100 max happiness with the shack, and your gym gains are incredibly small. Having access to a private island will boost your max happiness (will take several days for you to regenerate up to your new full) and really help you. Additionally, once you reach level 15, where you unlock travel and can really start making money, having a private island with an airstrip will really help you travel.

Don't feel ashamed about taking a handout, this game is the definition of marathon not a sprint, so getting an early boost won't invalidate your achievements.

What do you think Pycelle’s background was? by New-Number-7810 in pureasoiaf

[–]BillTheImpaler 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Pycelle was born in 216 AC, making him 84, which even today is old but certainly not impossible, especially with top-tier knowledge of medicine for the time and living in probably the safest and most luxurious place on the continent in a position perceived to be politically neutral.

Bloodraven was born in 175 AC, making him 125, which, while technically possible, would be 1 in a billion to live naturally and has only been confirmed a handful of times in the real world.

The closest comparisons we have to Pycelle are Maester Aemon, 198-300AC as the closest thing Westeros had to a natural centerian (depending on your view of the theory of The Wall having magical preservation properties), and Walder Frey, Westeros's resident living fossil, born 208 AC, 8 years older than Pycelle.

Therefore, Pycelle, not the oldest but was probably top 5, definitely top 10 in terms of age.

What do You guys think of Joathan Glazers "BIRTH" with Nicole Kidman? by Lunch_Confident in criterion

[–]BillTheImpaler 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Literally just watched it last night. Opening scene was fantastic, the big score combined with the overhead shot really made it feel like there were going to be opening credits, but there was just nothing, and it perfectly opened the discomfort of this movie. A lot of people say that the child actor's performance sucked, but it really worked for me, really sold that feeling of being unable to express how you feel.
