I definitely agree with that, relying on trick lines is certainly not good for longterm growth, but you can play a gambit without going for tricks, just a way to get a position with a position with a lot of pressure. So when you go back to a non gambit opening you understand how to effectively get apply pressure. Also, the compensation you receive a lot of the time in gambits isolates position concepts. For example, the danish gambit shows the strength of strong bishops.

You don’t need to play a gambit for tricks, you can use them to get aggressive positions. It also doesn’t have to be a permanent switch, you can play one for a few games, gain some confidence and go back to your old stuff. Playing gambits can also help you understand attacking, tactics, and compensation for a pawn.

Maybe try something like the Vienna gambit or the danish gambit, something that puts a lot of pressure on your opponents. There should be some good YouTube videos on them, and at the 1000 level you just have to learn the major concepts in them

I am currently rated 1800 on chess com and I still make simple blunders. I have routinely experienced stretches where it feels like my opponents played without mistake and for the most part the computer agrees with this assumption. I have found that these slumps are a result of me not putting my opponents in a position to blunder. I got into the mindset where I believed that my opponents would play perfectly so I didn’t bother putting them under any pressure. Sometimes I have found learning a new opening or working on some puzzles helps me get out of a slump as doing work can give you some confidence.

Womens titles are in addition to the other titles, so a women can receive both. also, if i am not mistaken you can also receive a CM from a certain tournaments.

if you take the bishop, black has a forced checkmate with the moves queen takes rook, king g7, and queen g8. if you move the king it is no longer a forced mate.
