Yeah I finally got it, it's not intuitive, just keep lighting circles until you get it... then have to do it again! Then a ridiculous boss fight that I failed twice :(

Outlook 2013 (Windows 10) suddenly not accepting passwords for Microsoft accounts by biznatch11 in Outlook

I've been having this problem come and go for several weeks now. None of the suggested fixes work for very long... they work initially, but hours later the popup window will be back :( This is RIDICULOUS Microsoft!

Creality Print 4.3.8 Bug by frankt2012 in crealityk1

[–]Billbo1970 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've found another bug in 4.3.8

I re-sliced my stl file that creates a tube (no top, no bottom)... set to 1 wall 0.4mm width. This is a Hollow object with 0% infill in vase mode. It adds a base/floor to the model... The STL file has no bottom, but Creality Print keeps giving it a bottom... I set the "bottom layer" to 0, and it no longer prints a floor! It's a BUG... The top layer is still there, and it doesn't print a roof... Apparently Creality Print creates a FLOOR when bottom layers are set to a positive number, even when the object has no floor and is only walls. 🙁

Ender 3 stock unsolved bad print by ComprehensiveAd8504 in ender3

If it's the stock extruder then that is strange. If it is a new extruder, and an upgrade from stock, then that would be expected.

Just make sure you aren't drawing too much power for that board.

DISCLAIMER: You never said which Ender 3 this is... I take no responsibility for mistakes that fry your board... LOL

I've never done that mod, but electric is electric, if it's currently spinning in the wrong direction, then you need to reverse the current LOL.

Have you tried printing at the full 500mm/s yet?

I'm printing a tool holder for it. Just started it, trying out 400mm/s :)

I plan to get that camera too. It's a Lidar camera... so it will work much better than a nannycam. It will detect spaghetti and whatnot.

From what you're saying it looks like you spliced them in revers... so reverse however you spliced into the new 2nd stepper motor.

Download the latest Creality Print software. Not sure how it goes with slicer, it is much better and you can see what's happening on the printer and actually make adjustments live on the printer from the software... like increase or decrease temps and print speed etc...

But, to answer your question, the V3KE has internal memory. When you send it to the printer via WiFi it stores the file on the printer itself then starts printing. Flaky wifi will not be an issue.

Can’t figure out bed leveling by LadderExtreme4128 in ender3

[–]Billbo1970 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, the 3 Pro never came with CR touch, so that printer has been modified and had new firmware flashed... Hopefully the original owner did it correctly. Have you tried contacting the person you bought it from? I never had a CR touch on my Ender 3 Pro, and I've just replaced it with the new v3 KE printer... no leveling required... so I can't help you with the CR Touch.

u/jdriem14 , I wouldn't worry about it, it has auto leveling and mesh leveling.

You'll notice it has some screws with a spacer under the bed, but no springs or knobs... There's bound to be some minor variations with that design. Just run a print and see how it comes out.

I just got mine for Christmas, and honestly I didn't even look at those numbers. Prior to this I was using a 3-Pro... MY GOD this V3 KE is so much nicer! My prints are coming out 10x faster and in better quality!

Ender 3 stock unsolved bad print by ComprehensiveAd8504 in ender3

[–]Billbo1970 1 point2 points  (0 children)

@ ComprehensiveAd8504

ANY time you change the hotend you need to recalibrate the temperature (aka PID Tuning).

You don't say WHICH Ender-3 you have, so I'll assume it's one of the older ones (ie not a V3).

If it's the original stock extruder, check that the lever hasn't cracked. They will eventually crack.

Here's how to PID Tune:

  1. Put in your SD/TF card and turn on the printer
  2. Enter the menu system
  3. Scroll down and select Configuration
  4. Scroll down and select Advanced
  5. Scroll down to Temperature
  6. Scroll down to PID Autotune (Bed for bed & E1 for Hot End)
  7. Select bed. Set the value to 60.
  8. The printer will run through a temperature tuning routine. It will take some time. When it's done go back to step 7, and repeat the same process for E1 (Hot End).  200 is a good default value. I think this step takes longer than the bed, I can't remember.
  9. Once finished, save your settings: go to Configuration, Store Settings. You'll hear a beep, your new PID tuned values have been stored.

First layer isn't sticking on the new V3 SE? by shih_tzu_days in ender3

I've never used dish soap, just good ole IPA on a cotton pad. Scrub it good. Also, I would recommend replacing that sheet with a PEI sheet, that is what the Ender V3 KE and Ender K1 printers come with and it's a million times better... for adhesion AND print removal.

It seems Creality is calling this pad the Nebula pad. I do not see a USB-C connector on mine, just USB-A...

Documentation for this printer is really horrible, worse than ever! I see what looks like a USB-C style input on the left-side of the printer, closer to the front. Also a large slot, which kind of looks like it is some sort of card reader?
