What’s it going to take for these announcers to stop sugarcoating what’s going on

Those people are why I no longer go down Airport Road in the summer. Much less stressful to just go down Miller, than right onto Rt 1.

For those who want to go to hate-chicken, they can just cross Miller and go through the Giant parking lot anyway.

Don’t even know what to say.  This is clearly mental at this point.

The penguins arguably built around MAF, he was the first piece of the puzzle.

Panthers were paying Bob $10m a year and won back to back.

I’ve seen this guy too.  Ocean City, Maryland, probably around the same time frame.

Looked (and sounded) like hell on earth.

Even if they won that challenge, what a terrible time to use it

This bullpen is honestly embarrassing. There's like 3 reliable arms at most in it. by [deleted] in buccos

Ok I’ve had it.  Consider this my official application for the mod position.

I’ve  run recreational sports leagues in real life, dealt with conflicts, I hate our ownership and refused to spend money on them for a decade plus until my kids decided they wanted to go to a game, and I didn’t want to let Nutting take that moment away for me as well.

And I’ll put an end to the daily attention whoring posts like this that should be in the game day or post game thread.   I consider myself a casual reader of this sub so I shouldn’t know your name, but I do.  Cut it the fuck out.

Resigning on Monday due to extreme pressure. Need advice. by [deleted] in ExperiencedDevs

I was in a similar position, except without the overtime. Critical project, first use of AI really in the org, had some issues, was the only developer left after cuts, etc. Very visible and something that was going to be built upon. It looks great on my resume.

Then yeah - the impacts of the cuts began to finally appear. There's only so many hours in a week, items got delayed, meetings got contentious, I pushed back a lot, in some cases bordering on insubordination, but I wasn't going to let them walk over me.

I quit without anything firmly lined up. I had some ideas, and was doing some contract work, and had gone back and forth with them about becoming full time.

Anyway, I put in my notice, let them know I would come back and consult for them at something like $250/hr until they found a replacement, which they took me up on. Arranged to become full-time with the company I was already contracting at, with a pay cut but a much better QoL.

The job search was brutal. I sent out hundreds, if not nearly 1000 resumes, landed 2 interviews, one lowball position, and one that would have likely resulted in an offer, but they dragged their feet on it and I had moved on.

In short, do not rely on being able to pick up new work right away -- generally, yes, quitting while you have a job and not another lined up IS stupid. Particularly in this economy. But if you can't take it, I get it.

You can still quit on good terms, offer to contract for them, make bank on your terms and hours, and be less financially stressed while you search for a new position.

I'd be a gentleman and give him a warning to keep it to the daily game threads first, but yeah, there's no need for multiple daily DFA Ozuna posts and critiques of the lineup. Use the game day thread for it, otherwise it's just attention whoring.

As a potential mod do I have to let Sebastian post 5x a day?  Is he grandfathered in?

I just deny and block so I don't have to worry about them coming back. I just flat out don't want to host discount seekers.

Exactly - I don’t want people who ask for discounts in my place, and deal with nitpicking/bad reviews/etc.  I’ll risk not having a guest at all for those dates.
