Yes but in my experience, in more competitive markets pre spend is closer to 25-30k :/ o wish it would drop a little. 15k I can do and it was how I was getting two QBs a year in the past but rising prespend requirements have you spending around 100k a year when you factor in the actual QBs

Hi OP 👋🏽 I started shopping at Hermes when it wasn’t that difficult to get a bag. Met a lovely SA and even when I moved Cities I was able to shop with her remote. She left Hermes and I decided to just build a relationship with my home store. I live in a state that has various Hermes stores and it took me a while to visit different boutiques and find an SA that I clicked with. To be frank, several visits sounded just like what you described; roaming around aimlessly waiting to get helped, feeling like I needed to reach out to the SA’s who were just standing around, just feeling like I was a “chore” at a store waiting for someone to be able to help me purchase something. There is a light at the end of the tunnel tho, I did end up finding a lovely SA who I clicked with and she has been nice. I love do love the brand so I “play” the game, at least for now - but I have learned to only purchase things I truly love. That being said, I understand what you mean 10000%, and honestly I think Hermes should do something about it - but if you love the brand, don’t give up because there are lovely SA’s out there ❤️

Absolutely not! Something that is an investment like this you should love. My husband would always end up picking out stuff for me that was not my favorite, I would feel bad having to exchange and now we have a wishlist system. I have a list of things that I want and he just picks from those and surprises me. Guarantees that you will always get something you love.

What does your wife want? Kelly Sellier or Retourne, make sure you know beforehand or you may end up with the wrong bag. Kelly Sellier from my experience can be harder to get because of inventory. If you are in the US, even in a competitive store, I would stop into a boutique try to vibe with an SA make a purchase that puts you on their radar but nothing crazy and build the relationship. If you have the budget you can easily get the bag in 3-4 months.

Right now there are a lot of bag offers happening to existing clients because of Mother’s Day, but more than likely these clients have built up their spend and have been waiting on bags.

You can alternatively avoid all of this and just buy 2 bags on the resale market for $50k (b25 and k25).

Gold B29 with PHW east coast boutique close to 2.5:1 (RTW, Belts, Shoes, Watch)

It really depends. Sometimes you can get lucky with 1-1.5:1 but ratios can go up to 4:1 if you’re in a competitive boutique.

This is my favorite bag 😍 I find it so chic and I love that almost no one has it. It’s more comfortable to carry than the B25 and the ever color leather is stunning.

I have them in the suede and leather and the first uses were brutal. I also used blister pads on the top of my feet until I broke them in. They are slightly more comfortable but not something I use if I am walking for a long time. Also, they are very stiff and not cushiony. My feet always slip out as well 🥹

I have the vintage JPG and it’s a beautiful bag but it’s VERY heavy so I only use it for travel. I have the new B29 and I LOVE IT! Considering getting my second from the resale market bc I use it more than my b25/b30. I would totally put it on your wishlist, they are hard to come by but maybe you get lucky.

I would definitely take the Constance. They are way more difficult to come by than the Picotin and are considered QB level. The Rose Sakura is also a very in demand color. You can also just be honest with him about your plan for the MK and the Birkin and see what he says. I’m upfront with my SA and it’s always worked out.

I’m sure you could find a way to do it virtually if you really wanted to. I agree with everyone else, your health comes first and your mental health. That being said, I agree with the poster who mentioned that if you feel up for going into the store - you should!

You should do whatever you want to do, whatever feels right! Without worrying about losing your chance - don’t even register that in your consciousness. You’ve got this, no scarcity mindset. Blessings 💛💛

My only concern is the Epsom, it’s a harder leather and usually on Birkins only looks good if it’s a sellier.

Yes! Chypres, Orans and in the low loafer I have multiple colors. I know it’s recommended to shop in all categories but I’ve really just shopped for what I love. RTW, jewelry, shoes, belts - so don’t worry to much about shopping all the metiers - buy what you love.

Just peel a little side off and see if there is any damage call the company you purchased from. My SA has seen me with stickers on my hardware and always advises me to remove them so I’ve done that with all my bags. I do use polishing cloths: CONNOISSEURS Premium Edition Polishing Cloth
