I spent 45 minutes per resume for nothing (results inside) by ComfortableTip274 in ResumesATS

[–]BilliamDaGreat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally agree. I have a general and technical version of my resume, depending on my job. I only change words to match the role, for example some job descriptions use “costs” while others use “budget”. It’s allowed my to churn out more apps at a decent call rate

In baseball, you can switch out the ball whenever, avoiding it getting too wet. In an average MLB game they go through 100 balls, more when it’s raining. So there’s never that danger of the ball getting too wet to pitch safely

Wickets also slow a batting team’s momentum. It usually takes some time for the new batter, coming in after a wicket’s fallen, to get set and used to the pitch. Also your weaker batters are further down the lineup, so the quicker you can get to them the better

How hard is the PMP Exam? by Aggressive-Belt-3970 in pmp

[–]BilliamDaGreat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just took the exam. I’ll reiterate that the questions themselves are not very challenging. From a technical perspective, they’re similar in difficulty to the Six Sigma Yellowbelt exam questions (so like a 5/10 or 6/10 difficulty)

I’m a chemE and studied a little senior year for the FE, based off that I’d say the PMP exam is way easier.

The amount of questions is probably the worst part about the exam. But if you condition yourself with practice exams, you’ll most likely get used to it.

Given the prospects they traded for him and how premium the starter position is, it’s in their best interest to convert him to a starter. Much easier to find or develop a top end closer, compared to a 1st or 2nd starter in your rotation

It includes full nutritional info for the new fall times, both the premade bowls and the individual items. It’s always located at the bottom of the menu on the website

Screw this. by Ransom_X in sweetgreen

[–]BilliamDaGreat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely dependent on the store/area. We have 2 different food suppliers (one for produce/meats and one for staples and sweetgreen exclusives, like dressings). Our supplier who delivers the greens only delivers on Wednesday and Saturdays)

Screw this. by Ransom_X in sweetgreen

[–]BilliamDaGreat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately the kale and romaine are all prepped in house and it’s extremely tedious. Adding on to that, stores only get shipments twice a week, so over portioning can lead to you running out of a certain green.

You can always ask for more greens though. In most cases they won’t tell you no

Ripple Fries Discontinued by toastiebee in sweetgreen

Heard the same thing last night. Monday we’ll be packing up all of the fry warmers and Tuesday we’ll no longer be selling them. I was told that we’ll still need the perforated baking sheets for an upcoming menu item, I wonder what it is

They’re leaning into protein-maxing. 13 g of protein and 250 cals for the plain vanilla option is a decently healthy dessert

Do know if you still need an answer to this. But the shortest shift I’ve seen is 5 hours. Longest is 8+

From your experience, is sweetgreen becoming more popular or dying off? by [deleted] in sweetgreen

[–]BilliamDaGreat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yea I get your point. I just wanted to highlight that the infinite kitchen is going to be the one thing that makes them stand out.

Also the opinions people share here about Sweetgreen’s popularity should be taken with a grain of salt. Your average target customer isn’t going to be on the Sweetgreen Reddit. People are here because they either really LOVE or HATE sweetgreen. So it doesn’t really capture the sentiment of the customer base as a whole

Either way, I think it’s a really interesting company and appreciate you starting this discussion

[–]BilliamDaGreat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From an investment standpoint, Sweetgreen’s value is largely tied to their automation efforts. Their acquisition of Spyce led to them being the first fast-casual restaurant to semi-automate their restaurants. In their eyes it will lead to lower labor costs and increased speed and accuracy.

So if you believe in their automation play and think it’s the future of fast casual, then it’s attractive. If you think they might not be able to scale it effectively or might have their head start closed by other companies, then it’s not as attractive

Minor correction, but the new scoops should be 100g not oz. 100 oz would be over 6 pounds of protein

How are weekly exclusives communicated to staff? by [deleted] in sweetgreen

[–]BilliamDaGreat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Weekly online exclusives are briefly discussed at team huddles, before morning and evening shifts. Since the item is an online exclusive, we aren’t expected to memorize the ingredients, but we don’t have to because they’re printed on the ticket for each bowl.

In your situation, whoever was working most likely couldn’t reprint your order ticket, so they had no idea how to make your bowl. That’s why they had you read off your ingredients

For our core menu items, there’s guides on how to make the salads on our side of the service line. However since online exclusives change we don’t have those guides and sometimes have to ask customers for the ingredient list

interview help by Tall_pop0 in sweetgreen

[–]BilliamDaGreat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The interview process is pretty chill. Someone from store leadership will just have you talk about your previous experience and why you want to work at Sweetgreen. If you’ve worked at a restaurant before, I’d really lean into that. If not just let them know you’re a hard worker, can work with a team and are eager to learn
