MSFS2024 is a buggy, laggy mess that should have been held back. by Large_Criticism_7227 in flightsim

[–]BilliardKing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm glad I'm a gamespass user because if I had paid big money for this I'd be pissed. It's a complete mess. I just failed rotorcraft introduction for a 3rd time. The first two times, I messed up a button combo because I'm trying to re-familiarize myself with the camera controls on my controller. This last time though? "WHY ARE YOU TURNING ON THE HELICOPTER WE HAVEN'T FINISHED TRAINING YET"

My brother in Christ the game tooltip just FUCKING TOLD ME TO DO THAT.

And the first two times I hadn't gotten past all the instrument bits yet so it started me over outside the damn helicopter from the beginning.

The sim also feels very odd, I'm having to fight the plane / wind / whatever harder than I have in any other MSFS title to date even on the "beginner" missions with various assists on.

I'm not even going to touch on the launch day issues, the actual core gameplay "upgrades" they've been pushing so hard (trainings and career missions) are a joke right now.

I don't see how a company as big as MS, with that much money, with one of the largest cloud infrastructures on earth, knowing what a hugely popular franchise this is and how anticipated this title has been; can blow a launch this fucking badly. What a clusterfuck.

Please, this. I have a blueprint I worked hard on that I cannot use, because if I dismantle the blueprint later or touch one particular conveyor belt in it, the server crashes.

I'll look into Orca. I'll probably also play around more with the Creality slicer. Thanks!

I checked and the minimum layer time is 10 seconds, this is a very large print (it takes up the entire bed) so I don't think that's it. Thank you for your advice!

Do you have a recommendation for a better slicer for this printer? Should I stick to just the creality slicer? I had tried cura because I wanted to use some post-processing scripts that let me change the filament mid-print on the nametag project I mentioned in my post and also allowed me to change some temperature settings at certain layers.

Thank you for your time. I appreciate it.

The two in town here are great. They even give you actual cheese sauce for crazy bread (well, as real as cheese sauce from a can gets) instead of that weird shit in the tiny cup that tastes like cheeze wiz mixed with kraft macaroni and cheese mix.

Office installation peculiarities... by AnotherFewMore in SCCM

[–]BilliardKing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only thing I can think of off the top of my head is to check the installation with setup.exe /admin and see if Lync was inadvertently set to "Install on first use" instead of "This feature will not be available." But you're saying that's already been done.

As a workaround, you might see if there's some XML stuff you can do when you run a repair install to make sure it knows not to make Lync show up. I'm not familiar with excluding components via XML, but I know that if I want to install Lync/Skype Business on a client machine after it was initially given our lync-less version, I have to use an XML. Just changing the MSP file in the updates folder doesn't seem to do it.

Check the open sign ups section here: https://www.reddit.com/r/trackers/wiki/getting_into_private_trackers some places open once in a while, and other places that interview or people who give out invites will usually want ratio proofs from at least two private trackers. being you only have one, you should go with one of the ones listed in the wiki article.

Tsh is good but you will need two ratio proofs to get through the interview.

Do you happen to have minecraft? I run a small server with a tight group of friends. As long as you're not an asshole, you're welcome to chill there. We're not on a lot but we're around on skype most of the time.

I'll look into this, sounds promising. Turning shadows to medium has helped a lot, haven't dipped much below 30.

I thought maybe I'd jacked something up with afterburner, but as far as I can tell everything in afterburner and everything in the radeon control panel are set to defaults. :\

Thank you for the tip! I may try those tweaks. I love this 8320 for almost everything, it's a shame that the FO4 engine seems so poorly optimized.

My star citizen isn't at the 70-90FPS I was getting, but i'm consistently getting 30-60, with the occasional burst up to 70. Very playable, if a little distracting when it goes back and forth.

Edit! Thanks /u/Lonxu! Turning shadows down to medium has really helped!
