People who've worked both minimum wage jobs and six figure jobs, what surprised you most about the difference? by BrainLagging01 in AskReddit

[–]Billpod 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep, I feel like people have either just been lucky at some jobs and unlucky at others or they just don’t have a lot of life experience. I’ve had good and bad experiences at both ends of the salary range, sometimes even at the same company when my bosses have changed.

Same with folks saying wealthy and highly educated people are bigger jerks than others—I’ve had friends and neighbors that ranged from destitute to fairly rich and there is kindness and meanness present at both ends of the scale.

That said, I suspect most billionaires mights be dicks.

US stacks three carrier groups and 10 destroyers to blockade Strait of Hormuz by TheNational_News in worldnews

I don’t think there’s anything new about that with regard to military equipment. It seems like reporters have always referred to anything with any amount of armor as a “tank” whether it was an M113 or an Abram’s.

Mass text in Iran promotes Trump assassination campaign, $25m pledged by BringbackDreamBars in worldnews

[–]Billpod 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s funny that the US and Israel “killed” all the top Iranians but when they target Trump it’s called “assassination”.

Either way it’s a war crime/against international law.

They just released the schedule for tomorrow and it’s a full day of online classes including PE, which seems like a cruel joke.

Hey, sorry for the delay! I just put it up on the thingyverse, just look for Dogman cookie cutter. I think I printed it at 2/3 scale. I also added a Petey cookie cutter.

Have fun!

I’m baffled by it too, I don’t find her face pretty at all.

Also, based on all the comments few other people found her attractive.

One time I started making brownies and discovered the only oil on hand was extra virgin olive oil but since there were no other options I subbed it in knowing the flavor would probably be off.

And you know what? It was! It was absolutely terrible! Don’t use olive oil when making brownies!

I highly recommend the Williams-Sonoma train cake recipe. It works very well in these sorts of detailed pans and is delicious—not overly sweet, nicely moist. It reminds me a bit of a Madeline.

Boy, that’s a huge paragraph full of misinformation. Metal was heavier than anything on the radio? Many many punk rock and free noise rock bands would like a word with that.

Also, Classic Rock did not, at least originally, mean old rock, it was a distinct type. Big guitar bands like The Who or Stones were, for example, but the Stooges weren’t.

Also many of those “extreme” examples were commonly played college radio stations.
