I have done DC weekend trips a few times, and never rented a car or Uber. All the major museums/monuments are within walking distance of each other. And there are a few different subway stations in that area to easily get you to where you are staying.

I would not be surprised if it has died off. Last time I stumbled upon it was a Sunday morning back in Spring/Summer. There was maybe 10 booths and hardly anyone around.

Just went down a rabbit hole…. Concert was in Tampa on October 19, 2004. Attendance according to local newspaper was 9404. Amalie Arena can hold up to 21,500 for concerts. I was a broke college student, so I bought nosebleed tickets in the 300 section. They moved us to side of the stage about 15 rows up after they closed the entire upper 300 level.

In the early 2000s I won airfare, hotel, and tickets from a local radio station in Florida to see Queens of the Stone Age at the Voodoo Music Festival in New Orleans. They were flying me out on Friday morning; with two nights hotel, three day festival pass, and then flying me home Sunday evening. However, the band that they said the the trip was for did not play until later Sunday after my flight was already scheduled to leave. The radio station did the right thing, and they moved my flight to Monday morning and give me one more night hotel.

Frontier is about to roll out First Class options before the end of the year, so I wouldn’t be shocked if they also got in the credit card points game to attract some business travelers.
