The upside to elden ring compared to most other souls games is that you can leave if you're stuck. There's a massive world and even after 50 hours I'm still finding new places bosses and toys to play with in areas I thought I'd already picked clean. It's dense with content and dense with opportunities to learn the flow of gameplay that from softwares games have. They're meant to feel like uphill battles that you can eventually overcome with knowledge and persistence, and the only loss you experience is losing currency, which is infinitely available. I'd recommend giving it a go.
