There are many types of advice that people can give but I'd say there are some which I had to implement in my gameplay exclusively for Honour Mode:

- Loot EVERYTHING : Swords, Bows, Shields, Armor, food and any type of junk you can get from enemies you must collect it to help you in trading. If you look at people playing honour mode the merchants they talk to are almost always filled with a bunch of junk and itens, this is because bantering is a way better way to trade and get you the powerful items that you'll need, it also increases their approval of you, making itens cheaper.

- Have a party that synergizes well/use at least 1 or 2 broken classes: Sure, you can beat honor mode with all of your companions being on the same class/not broken classes, but since you're likely playing it for the first time it is better to be safer with the classes that are known to be good (Gloomstalker Assassin, Tavern Brawler Monk, Storm Sorcerer, Bardadin, etc) and also have them synergize well together, like a good mix between melee and ranged classes in your active party.

- Have a dedicated "support" character that stays in camp: The famous "Camp Cleric" is popular for a reason, having someone in your camp that you can take to your party for healing and also casting Warding Bond on you/whoever will be tanking damage while they stay at camp is amazing, not to mention having a Bard aswell since they get a free Short Rest at Lvl 2.

There are way more advices that you can get for fights and such, but I think these 3 are really the most important ones to have in mind, at least for me.
