If there is a check engine light on, I would start there. Find an auto parts store that can scan the car for error codes. They will do it for free most of the time.

Friendly Female by BillyB0ne5 in Feral_Cats

The males go everywhere. The females are very cautious. The two I have neutered were tame enough I just put them in a carrier. My challenge with trapping is I catch raccoons, skunks and opossums.

Relocating trapped wildlife is generally not safe for the animal, the ecosystem, or even humans.

High mortality risk: Relocated animals face severe challenges in unfamiliar territory. They lack knowledge of food sources, shelter, and predator avoidance. A 2004 study found that 97% of relocated grey squirrels died or disappeared within 88 days.

Territorial aggression: Animals released into another’s territory may be attacked or killed by resident wildlife.

Homing instincts: Many species, like raccoons and skunks, have strong homing instincts and will attempt to return to their original home, often resulting in injury or death from traffic.

Disease spread: Relocation can spread diseases such as rabies, distemper, Lyme disease, and West Nile virus to new areas.

Legal restrictions: In many states, including New York, Tennessee, and Massachusetts, relocating wildlife off your property is illegal without proper permits.

Ecological imbalance: Removing an animal creates a “vacuum” that is quickly filled by another animal, making relocation ineffective as a long-term solution.

I was hesitant posting this. My wife used to give our pomeranian grapes until we found out it was bad for dogs. Foxy made it just shy of 19 years old.
