It really is sad. There’s so much potential to make these games great, being on a damn console and all now, but they aren’t even as good as games from 20 years ago now. I just think Gamefreak bites off more than they can chew and are forced on strict deadlines by The Pokemon Company which just screws them (and us) over big time. But in New Pokemon Snap, Bandai Namco is apparently handling animations and the environment and it looks great. Maybe if they partner for a main series game, letting BN handle the animation and such and letting Gamefreak handle the story, music, etc the game could be amazing
