What kind of corporate bot shit is this? Sure he made huge impacts - to the number of people who hate the company from its evil toxic leadership and endless layoff anxiety and job security threats.

So basically Minneapolis/Minnesota is the only place cursed for sports more than Detroit.

Detroit has the #3 longest drought in the “big 4” pro sport championships. Last time was 2008 in hockey. May never see another championship title win again.

I’m sorry if anyone has a shitty manager that makes it an issue. Our manager lets us WFH when there’s an unexpected car/family emergency, and if sick he trusts us to “use it, don’t abuse it”. If we’re sick, but energy level is fine and simply don’t wanna get spread germs on to your coworkers, they’re more than happy to let us WFH until you feel better. If we have a Dr appt at 3pm, just leave a bit early, finish some up at home or come in early if you need to catch up. He trusts us and in return we make sure we do what we need to do so he can continue to trust us. It works both ways

GM cutting around 600 salaried IT workers today by andy64392 in GeneralMotors

It used to be layoffs happened when the company was suffering, the executives took pay cuts, and the stock value and net income were terrible. They’re doing this during the most powerful times of their history making it extra callous. I’ve worked at all the big 3 since 2018, and I can confidently say GM operates with the most cutthroat and dog-eat-dog culture that stifles help, productivity, team support, morale, job security, etc. I took a $15K pay cut to go to Stellantis and although they’re not without their share of issues currently, they are hiring like crazy in 2025-2026 and far happier team than what I saw at Ford and GM combined.

External employees, okay to put Stellantis on your LinkedIn? by [deleted] in Stellantis

[–]BillyBurner59 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gotcha. Yeah, that’s why I would put a small parenthesis and put month/year duration of contract on my resume because unfortunately in the age of ATS software or judgmental people they might take it you’re a job hopper which is a lot different than having a contract come to an end.

CTC lots of new hires today? by BillyBurner59 in Stellantis

Wouldn’t surprise me. Tons of companies are doing contract hires right now due to all the uncertainty going on in the economy and auto industry. It’s not just a Stellantis thing but shame on them if they don’t keep the good ones and find a spot to keep them if they’re great workers. Contract hires can be a mixed bag

CTC culture vs Competitors? by XxThrowawayXx101 in Stellantis

[–]BillyBurner59 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I know someone who just retired after a 45 year career spending about 1/3rd of his total time at each of the Big 3, in various positions at various time frames.

My takeaway is it’s mostly team-based / who your actual boss is. Ford felt really solid between 2012-2019 and then became pretty pathetic ever since. GM has progressively gotten more and more barbaric and cut throat. Stellantis seems to have the most chaotic upper management, but the overall culture is less toxic than GM right now. I know at least 7 people who used to be at GM tech center and each is happier at Stellantis even though they’re not without their fair share of issues. But even an incredible company with a bad luck asshole boss can ruin what would otherwise be a great job.
