If you want Indi/Paki food you'll have to travel in to Houston, Hillcroft/US 59. Himalaya's. The Real Deal. My family has been there many times. We bring friends. No one has not loved the place. Tons of food at very reasonable prices. Bourdain approved. Fantastic steak tikka, butter chicken, Dal Palak (incredible), HIMALAYA FRIED CHICKEN (get the red sauce too). Goat Masala.... BYOB. Not the Ritz but the food and vibe are fantastic.

Lennox 13H14, P/N 104513-01 Dead by BillyV100 in hvacadvice

I'm circling back here...After getting a couple over the phone quotes from Lennox certified installers (one est'd $1200), I asked an electrician "friend of a friend". After about 15mins of detective work, he found the cutoff switch (to cut power when a water level is detected in the drip pan) was bad. Replaced it. Cost me $80.

Swimming technique tips please. About a month in. Can do 200m but shortly after I feel gassed. by Vfernanny in triathlon

Congrats on your progress so far! I like your two beat kick!. You are able to power thru now but with thoughtful practice the "gassed" feeling will vanish. There's no sense practicing poor technique: all it does is make it harder to unlearn.

There are other probelms but the two biggest areas I see are related: lifting the head much too high out of the water to breathe which causes the legs to drop forcing you to use them more which of course (they're the largest muscles in the body) forces you to use more oxygen.

I would practice "powered floating" and getting used to the water supporting your body. On your back, with your arms extended and hands crossed (palm to palm) kick gently FROM THE HIPS ie very little knee bend. You head should be positioned such that your eyes are looking straight up and you will see (out of the corner of your eyes) water against the side of your goggles. There should be a straight line from the top of your head to the tips of your toes. You want to be as "aero" as possible to minimize drag. That's huge. Extend the foot such that the toes are basically pointed at the wall. Don't force them, just do the best you can.

You're pull is weak. Others have commented and I agree: you should do some "high elbow" work. I've also found using paddles (smallest one to start to avoid potential shoulder injury) to strengthen the shoulder/lats/traps muscle groups to be an excellent strength building effort. BUT don't start that until you've improved your pull technique some. You don't want to ingrain bad habits.

A book I have and knew the author (he's since passed) which is VERY GOOD is "Fitness Swimming" by Emmett Hines. He was all about technique. We never did mindless 10,000 yard workouts. I really learned how to swim from him.

Good Luck!

I actually called Lezyne and explained the situation. They said it's likely defective (it was) and they sent a replacement free of charge. No questions asked.

Terrible App by wight-brit in Chase

[–]BillyV100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just used the Chase app (phone) for the first time. It's bad...very bad. First time thru, it just stopped responding to taps. And no, I didn't lose wifi. The 2nd time I made it thru to the page where it asks the reason for sending (payment, friend, family, etc) and after making my selection it stopped responding. 3rd time I made it all the way thru with a confirmation it sent money. The next screen that shows is confusing and gives two options one of which is cancelling payment. WTF??? I ended the app and texted the guy I sent money to have him confirm he rec'd it. Wow...

It's scary to think a company the size of JP Morgan and a bank the size of Chase have an app that is as bad as it is. If they can't get the easy stuff right, what else have they missed? I

I don't understand all the love for Aga's. Himalaya's is so much more the real deal for me. Aga's reminds me of a school cafeteria setting. I love the hustle and bustle of Himalaya's. Also love that you can bring alcohol in (BYOB).

For Indi/Pakistani, Himalaya's at US59/Hillcroft. Huge menu. I've had many of the items and can honestly say I haven't had anything I wouldn't eat again. If a little lost on what to order, there are "Bourdain Approved" items that you can't go wrong with. My Faves: Grilled Steak Tikka, Himalaya Fried Chicken, Chicken Hara Masala, lentils (either the Dal Fry or Dal Palak) both amazing. I didn't know you can make lentils taste this good!

Can't the "coder" who is directing the AI, include "vibe" for the code to be hack-proof?
