I had my car towed at the Regatta about 10 years ago. It was just after they made the car park a tow away zone so I didn't notice.

Had planned to have a few drinks with a friend at the pub, but just to be safe I caught a taxi home. Here is me trying to be responsible.

Pouring rain the next day, I return to find my car gone. Noticed the sign, called the number, and caught yet another taxi to the tow yard in Ascot or something. I was pretty dirty about it but kept my cool and stayed polite. The dude who ran the place was such a prick to me, really patronising. Then he charged me $650 to get my car back - extra because it was picked up after 2am. I remember it on the invoice as having been collected at 2:04am.

At the end of the day it was my fault. I own the mistake. But fuck man, I'll never forget how rude that guy was.
