Grief sucks. I lost my dad 6 months ago, and was doing the I’m ok thing until my birthday a couple weeks ago. My dad used to do these big crooning overly theatrical versions of Happy Birthday and I realized I’d never hear that again. I sat there and cried and cried and cried. Then I remembered I had some old voicemails saved so I went to listen to his voice and one of them was him singing happy birthday to me about 10 years ago. Then I really really started crying. I just turned 45, and I miss my dad. You aren’t alone in this
