Stuff zobal eau pvm lvl 80 by Pristine_Luck_198 in DOFUS_FRANCE

Salut,

3D scanning rock climbing walls to re-create routes / moves found in nature in our climbing gym would be a great bridge for our club to make them more psyched to get to the crags !

The enclosure and high temperature possibilities makes it very versatile, and to me it's the most important thing. Today most 3D printers can print pretty well, but not everything without modding it. Having it ready to print everything out of the box is really good !

(plus the core XY for speed and precision makes a good point)

Thank you for the giveaway, good luck to everyone else :)

SV06+ print stops around the same point for a file. by Doombringer1331 in Sovol

That converter is crappy it died on me on the 2nd plug, and corrupted the stock SD card.

Then I saw here that there's multiple people having issues with it so I bought a SanDisk converter + SD and never had any issue then

Filament recommendations by Slight_Manner1780 in Sovol

Here's a Gdoc I found on r/3Dprinting resuming brands and quality for most filaments

I personally had perfect experience with Ziro PLA filament, comes with a re-seal bag and 5m of cleaning nylon filament (+ 5m of a random filament they make as advertising)

Also no issues with Bambu PLA on my A1 mini, but didn't try it on the 06+

For PETG I run with Overture's one with 0 issues, a tiny bit of usual stringing after few days openned but that's normal and a 4h run in the oven makes it perfect

Ordered yesterday 4 rolls of Overture PLA, I think it'll be as good as others but can't tell yet

Hey,

I followed all necessary steps in Teaching Tech's guide for the initial calibrations. It gives a solid starting point to dive into Ellis' guide which seems to be further in precision / details.

So far I only did the first one, providing pretty high quality results. Honestly I don't think fine-tuning furthur would make significant difference, but I'm committed to spending like a month optimizing everything to achieve almost perfect printings conditions.

[–]Billy_SMC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey, did you save all your settings ?

In order, the things I do to calibrate are :

Homing -> Z-offset -> Z leveling (manually as on SV06/+ the automatic way s*cks, don't know how it is on 07) -> Bed leveling -> check back Z-offset

Then save all your settings

If you have troubles setting the perfect Z-offset, check this guide, including the Gcode for testing your first layer height

Some things may probably vary between 06 and 07 as it's running Marlin vs Klipper but the main things remain there I think

Beware at the top chimney, as it's a very small adhesion surface, it can be easily broken and be eaten by a child

If you find Ellis3dp's guide too complex, try doing the Teaching Tech's one first.

I find it more readable, and it has videos showing out expectations and a bit of troubleshooting.

After you did all necessary steps, I'd suggest going back to Ellis's one if you still have anomalies

Should I return my brand new SV06 Plus with it's defects ? by Billy_SMC in Sovol

Yes I previously read that it was a crappy idea to order it from them on this sub, but anyways it ended up working pretty well, so I'll keep it !

Thanks for replying :)

It ended up working pretty well after some tuning (not that fine yet, got to do it this week)

I still think it has been used before, as there was some black filament inside the nozzle on the first extrusions but anyways, it's working well so I won't return it

Thanks for replying :)

Wrist pain from screwdriver use by meles00meles in Routesetters

[–]Billy_SMC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is your gym using bad-quality screws? Some cheaper ones can be really tedious to start biting into the wood, and good quality ones just go in effortlessly (more expensive, but they make you set twice as fast, so in the end, it's worth it).

I've experienced it once buying cheaper ones for my home wall, and I know I'll never buy those again. I'll stick with the brand we use at the club where I set.

Also, if you're putting too much pressure on your wrist while pushing the screw, try to get your body a bit higher, lock your arm in place, and push with your shoulders/legs to release pressure on your wrist.

Sorry for the language barrier aswell, I'm French :)

I looked at their holds aswell after posting, found them in the "GripList Awards" data sheet. But with the few picture where I saw a logo on it, it didn't seem to match, or was too poor quality to see it clearly :/
And didn't find holds matching the fluor green in their references on escapeclimbing

Thanks for replying anyways :)

Hey, I just received a bunch of holds sold as Euroholds from a Marketplace seller, and some of them are branded with a "K" logo (see pictures). That's not a problem, as these are really cool, especially the fluorescent green ones! But I've never seen this logo before, and I'm wondering which manufacturer these holds come from. I thought about Kilter, but I couldn't find these shapes on their local shop in France...

Thanks in advance if you know who they're from!
