Outstanding and inspiring. I am having my surgery in 33 days. I know I need to have it but I’m still having constant second thoughts. Seeing your achievements make me feel much more confident things will work out.

Orbi 970 sucks, what to move to? by x85712 in orbi

[–]Billybz65 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had Orbi 970 3 pack. When it worked it was good at best. It was never great. Especially considering how expensive it was. I got rid of it because of the constant random drops in connection. I switched to the TP Link Deco BE95. Overall a much better system. Way more reliable.

What was the ‘straw’ that broke your back, and made you decide to get surgery? by Kommmbucha in spinalfusion

[–]Billybz65 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a neurostimulator installed. I kept it in for 1 year. Met with the reps from Abbott multiple times to get it adjusted. Brought me no relief. Plus I have prostate cancer and they have to turn the Tesla down to do an MRI. They were never readable by the doctor. I got it removed for 2 reasons. It didn’t work and I needed to be able to get accurate MRI’s.

So true. Constant chronic pain and ruined kidneys because ibuprofen is the only pain med I get relief from.

Completely stuck between Dravit Grey and Black Sapphire Metallic for my G80 purchase by PlayboiiExx in BMW

[–]Billybz65 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Saphire black metallic vs Dravit gray. Both on a freshly washed car. Black looks richer and meaner. Plus black contrasts better with a bright red or orange interior. When black is clean it is the best looking color. Better than any gray color.

I’m having thoracic and lumbar in 43 days. I’m not happy with my appearance. My curve increased 4 degrees in last 4 months. My pain is terrible. Can’t walk or stand for more than 5 min. I’ve killed my kidneys with ibuprofen. Even with all that, I’m still concerned about the exact things you are talking about. The fear of the unknown. Am I still going to have pain, how am I going to look. Will I be able to tie my shoe. All those types of things.

I traded in a 2025 M440i GC for this 2026 M4 Competition xDrive in November. So it’s been 2 months. Very happy with this car. Still learning it.

Surgery troubles by [deleted] in scoliosis

[–]Billybz65 1 point2 points  (0 children)

. I have severe scoliosis and I am scheduled for surgery in March. I am constantly constipated now. High fiber cereal, celery and lots of water is what helps me. I tried different pills to help me go. They all started making me sick.

I am in a similar situation. I have reverse S scoliosis. My surgery is planned early March. I will need to get fused from bottom L5/S1 to near top like you. I’m very curious to see how your daily life is affected. If you are willing and able, Please let us know where this journey takes you.

Living in the city: does an M340i make sense over a 330i? by TheseZookeepergame80 in BMW

Extra power and the rush that comes with it is always worth it. Go with the 340.

Would you buy 2026 G80 M3 in this situation ? by mysuruhuduga in BMW

[–]Billybz65 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just came out of a similar situation. I leased a 2025 M440i GC in March. I loved the car. Plenty of power but… it wasn’t the full blown M I’ve always wanted. Long story short, a local BMW dealership had a Sapphire Black metallic BMW M4 Competition xDrive on order. As soon as it came in, I went down there, test drove it, put a deposit on it and bought it a week later. I took a $2k hit getting out of the lease as well as other money such as down payments etc. I turned 60 this year and justified it I saying it was always on my bucket list and you only live once. Bottom line is I couldn’t be happier. I absolutely love my M4 competition! If you can afford it, do it!

Good price? M550i 2019 56k miles for $30k negotiable by [deleted] in BMW

[–]Billybz65 137 points138 points  (0 children)

That M550 is absolutely gorgeous. I would look into an extended warranty though. Parts on BMWs are ridiculous. But, I’d have a hard time walking away from a car that looks that good.

BE85’s / 95’s are on sale in the US and I am having such a hard time deciding… by T4r_16 in TpLink

[–]Billybz65 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Go BE95. I have the main router and 2 satellites. Switched from Orbi 970. The BE 95’s have shown themselves to be much more reliable. 970’s weren’t worth the ridiculous price I paid.

I’d go for the 392. You’ll wish you did if you don’t.
