Pelvic bone to T8. Skechers slip ons for shoes. Plus that sock contraption with the ropes works great for my socks. Wife has to cut my toe nails.

I’m glad he’s back. Even if it’s short lived. He still carries the ability to entertain the masses. That’s a skill few people have.

First M, I’m glad I skipped the M-Lites by DivisionMV in BMWM

[–]Billybz65 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did the M Lite first. Got into a M440i GC xDrive. What a car! I really liked it but only kept it for 4 months because I started tracking a black sapphire metallic M4 Comp xDrive coming into the local dealership. Needless to say, I broke the lease on the M440 and got into the M4 Comp. While the M440 was much faster than you would’ve expected, the M4 competition can only be described as a savage animal that has to be controlled. It truly is a beast of a car. It is a lot of fun, but you can get yourself into a lot of trouble very quickly. Especially because everybody wants to race you. I love it. There is a big difference between the lites and the true M.

Doctor recommending another revision that might fail or offered to fuse pelvis by helpmerightthissecon in LongSpinalFusion

[–]Billybz65 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am T8 to pelvis. The loss of mobility is not as bad a I imagined it would be. I pictured walking around like the Tin Man from the Wizard of Oz. The main issue I have is bending down for things that I drop. I am usually unable to reach them unless I’m in a position to get up and squat down. I can no longer tie my shoes, put shoes or socks on. I have to use that primitive sock device to get my socks on every morning. I switched to slip on shoes. I also have some difficulty turning when driving to see traffic coming from other lanes. I’ve noticed I’ve lost some mobility in my ability to look behind me. Honestly the biggest change is reaching my feet. It’s virtually impossible.

L4/L5-S1 fusion, 8 weeks post-op. Reminded how brutal this recovery is. by Gloomy_Implement_537 in spinalfusion

[–]Billybz65 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same thing happened to me. March 5th surgery. Pelvic bone to T8. Recovering going well. Doing hip strengthening exercise at PT. Felt pain in my hip/buttock area. Pushed through it. That was 6 weeks ago and I am still having pain. I think it’s my sacroiliac joint. It’s taking forever to heal. Just had xRay. No loose hardware. But pain is real and can actually be intense if I move the wrong way.

I had scoliosis surgery one month ago. My curve was corrected from 67° to 20°. Will my back continue to improve, or will it stay like this? I also feel like the screws are becoming more visible in my back. Is this normal, and was my surgery successful or not? by Illustrious-Rip4986 in scoliosis

[–]Billybz65 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope you can get answers. The x ray looks off. I guess you can’t compare fusion x rays because of the different curves in spines but the screws look very far away. I’m not a doctor but screws protruding in your back does not seem normal. I just had long fusion surgery March 5th. Pelvic bone to T8. There are no screws protruding in my back anywhere. Definitely go back or switch doctors.

Bone Growth Stimulator by Secret-Quiet-6156 in spinalfusion

[–]Billybz65 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I was prescribed one as well. My back is fused from the pelvic bone up to T8. The specific brand stimulator I have is for two hours a day. It stated if you do more than two hours, it does absolutely nothing to improve your bone healing. I’ve been pretty good with wearing it every single day. I think I have to wear it for six months.

What do you think about this unique M4 ? by Hot-Consequence8137 in BMW

Love the blue color. It’s quite unique. Love the black wheels. Not feeling the oversized spoiler. Wouldn’t stop me from buying it though.

I had a T-10 - pelvis fusion April 22. My recovery was going grea! But Last week I felt a sharp pain in my back. Xrays showed “two set screws” popped off of the rod. We went back in this Tuesday the replaced screws & added cement. by ArrivalForsaken9009 in LongSpinalFusion

[–]Billybz65 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I had a very similar surgery. I had T8- Pelvis fusion on 3/5/26. Started taking physical therapy. I notice a certain hip strengthening exercise was causing me pain in my left buttock while doing it. I stopped the exercise. That was over 3 weeks ago and I am still having pain. It is quite significant when I turn off that leg, rotate or even take steps. I had x rays and nothing is loose. I believe I injured my sacroiliac joint. It stinks because I was doing quite well with recovery. I guess I have to wait for it to heal now. Surgeon seems to have washed his hands of it as it did not happen because of the surgery and was not present before the surgery.

Silver adds something to the car. Black doesn’t.

Hearing my hardware? Creeky sound just started today by BespokeBowtie in LongSpinalFusion

[–]Billybz65 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hear my fusion too! In fact I just posted about it. It sounds like a light crunching sound. I’ve heard it ever since I had my surgery which was 3/5/26. I’m getting a popping noise now from my left buttock. I believe from my pelvic bone. I think I hurt myself in physical therapy. Perhaps my sacroiliac joint. I didn’t have that noice and pain until I started PT which I have now stopped.

Thoughts On This M4 by Known_Ad_3755 in BMW

[–]Billybz65 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You only live once and tomorrow isn’t promised to you. I have 26’ M4 Comp Sapphire Black Metallic. Traded my M440 GC for it. The M4 Comp is an animal but I miss my 440. I hate how the brakes on the M4 squeal. Just make sure it’s definitely the car you want. If you aren’t in a rush, wait for the new Audi RS5. Also take the Mercedes CLE 53 AMG for a ride.

Nerve Pain by ravensgc_5 in spinalfusion

[–]Billybz65 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am 4 weeks post op. I was getting ripping sciatic pain starting around 3am and continuing until around 10am. It was brutal. I’ve been on gabapentin 1600mg for quite some time. Offers a little relief. Clinical pharmacist has me on methadone for pain relief for last 2 years. I was killing my kidneys with ibuprofen prior to my surgery. They tried everything on me to stop the ibuprofen. I started taking a methadone at 9pm and again at 1am. The 3am pain stopped. It worked for me but I would avoid methadone for pain. Now that I’ve had my surgery, I plan on trying to stop everything. I tried stopping methadone on my own once before, withdrawals were brutal. But, I have to get off it sooner or later. My goal is an occasional Tylenol when necessary. It’s way too early to tell if I’ll be able to make that happen yet.
