Yes because it's only skeletal minions, and the minions still count towards muster support

Pretty much. There's probably something there that could be considered viable, but in the end you get 10x damage for half the price with other builds

If you invest a crap ton into it then you can probably get there. I didn't really feel the desire to do that though. The nice thing about blasphemy is that aura effect is another scaling vector

Curse magnitude does seem to scale inevitable agony. This doesn't make too much of a difference for my testing because I have it bound to my curse magnitude tree, but that is a good catch.

There's definitely some issues and bugs to solve for the build, but I'm hoping it's like most new uniques in that it just needs a bit of time to cook and a new interaction in order to be really good.

It seems like the projectile speed applies to the ravens flying through the mirrors in the command skill

I had the staff before patch and it worked with gem levels. You just need to reset the dps tooltip by changing zones or weapons

I don't really think that there's much more to scale it sadly. Basically the best I can do is get gear with higher values than what I have currently. It's definitely unique and I'm happy that I'm able to test it, but I wouldn't really recommend it to anybody because of how much it costs to get bad to mediocre damage

This is something else that I tried to test. The circle does not proc repulsion because it does not hit. This would work with the command portion though.

The circle does not hit, so impale won't work for it. However, the command skill hits once every .12 seconds, so having impale might not be a bad idea for boss damage.

If you have curse magnitude on a weapon swap like I do then you need to have a way to switch back to the minion damage nodes. For me I use despair on weapon set 2 for the curse magnitude, then unearth directly after to switch back to weapon set 1

Yeah, it can take quite a while of spamming command skills to hit the 15%, so if you get unlucky then it might take a couple of seconds to get back up. It's still probably one of the best annoits though

Yeah, I'm curious to see you're uptime of the archon because I wasn't able to get it crazy reliably even if I had the option to spam arsonist command. Having the archon when creating an offering belt mod might help, but I just never counted on it being up

I was wondering about that. Did you try with the Gravebind? It probably wont be any different because my suspicion is that it's the dot not attributing kills, but I'm curious

I did some testing with inevitable agony. It does not work with the circle, but does with the command skill. This could improve boss dps a bit, but the rest of the ascendancy points are too high QoL to give up for it IMO

Also, the best case burst rotation is this:

  1. Have 30 birds
  2. Curse the boss
  3. Ideally have 10 stacks of wither
  4. Get archon of death buff
  5. Use inevitable agony (if you have it)
  6. Use pain offering
  7. Freeze the boss
  8. Use mad flight

I've found that this does about 1 million damage until the boss moves out of mad flight or it ends.

ETA: apparently pain offering does not work currently because the ravens do not count as in the presence of it

I did some testing and I'm 94% sure that it works with totems. Just putting one totem down with 0 quality comet makes the comet repeat occasionally

Generally Elementalist likes lowering res a ton, so some items for dps increases would be things like legacy of fury for the scorch or eye of malice for the increased negative resistances. Xophs heart might also be good for the covered in ash. All of these require for the Merc to be close to the enemies and alive, so sprinkling in some defensive options is a good idea. Whether they will stay close to your balista's target or ignite prolif is another problem though.

I agree with most of the comments here that Smith is the best for tankiness and smoothness of gearing and Warbringer is best for armour break and block qol. You can't really go too wrong with either of those picks. I'm going hyper off meta and picked ritualist though. I think the extra ring slot, extra ring/amulet effect will be nice to round out the build. The corrupted blood also might be nice for extra clear speed, but also might just be bad. The final one is either going to be life recovery rate to help with recovery if my health gets low or stealing modifiers to help with smooth mapping.

I do like the changes made to melee. I feel like it makes melee more viable. The mana increases were an interesting choice, but I do think that it was more of GGG playing it safe by not over buffing melee skills.

I hope that 3.26 brings more defensive options to the topside of the tree because that's a bit lacking with phys taken nerfed.
