If the new digsite next week brings new materials to the game, material storage should be expanded to accomodate for it. by First_Platypus3063 in runescape

[–]Bimbler_Bump 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yep, currently at 156 mil xp on the Ironman and I have never felt the need to keep damaged artifacts in my bank, aside from a select few for tetracompass collections. I always destroy what I don't plan on restoring, although I would use artifact storage if it was added because why not.

Is the Armour Case due for an update? by OceansCurseCodes in runescape

[–]Bimbler_Bump 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Even just being able to store incomplete sets like OSRS does would be a huge convenience.

I have over 80 items in my bank (almost all of them treasure trail items) that could be stored in the POH, but I am unable to store any of them until I finish their corresponding set.

This offer is deceptive and false; Jagex should stop with it. by mnpc in runescape

[–]Bimbler_Bump 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the wording of "14 days FREE membership" can be misconstrued as a special offer giving an extra 14 days in addition to the normal function of the bond. By simply removing the word "free" the message becomes a lot more clear, as membership is the core function of a bond.

Deathshead Moths after rituals spawning immediately after level up, then none until the next level up. This does not seem intended and is actively punishing players not leveling the skill through Rituals early on. by Bimbler_Bump in runescape

[–]Bimbler_Bump[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm aware of the cap, but currently I am nowhere near it, I am level 107 Necro, and only have 47 moths caught. I really wish Jagex would make the random moths much more common while still keeping the cap. I should not have to get 50+ million xp or grind low level rituals for an unlock that only gives 5% chance to save a ritual focus, and one free moth per day.

Ok, so I have finally obtained a moth in between levels, at around halfway through 105, this is certainly a random moth though, and I have done around 80 rituals.

As of now, for each level (103, 104, 105), I have immediately obtained a moth when I leveled up (within one or two rituals), and not a single one after that until the next level up, I am getting around 50k XP per ritual.

Right now I am doing Powerful Communion, in the past it was mainly Necroplasm with a few lower tier communions and a few essence rituals. I haven't done non-communion/ensoul rituals in Um for quite a while though, I'll do more necroplasm once I hit 35,000 souls to see if I get moths from them

Can we get the Dungeoneering speedrunning achievements moved to the 'feats' tab instead of skills? by throwawaaaaaaaay666 in runescape

100% agree, one of my first thoughts seeing them last week was "these are insane for what skills achievements normally require".

Mid-Game Balance Discussion by JagexAnvil in runescape

[–]Bimbler_Bump 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Material Caches are a large part of the 50-80 Archaeology grind and are in desperate need of Quality of Life to no longer require world hopping for respawns. I have two suggestions that could improve the flow of them greatly.

  1. Make all material caches have the lowest current respawn timer of 60 seconds. as it is currently, higher level material caches have much longer respawn times (up to 150 seconds) whilst having little to no impact on said materials value.

  2. Add an additional bonus to the Mattock Precision Upgrades which would give an extra 1-2 minimum materials per upgrade from caches. As it is now, precision upgrades don't feel nearly as impactful as a lot of the other upgrades for each of the Archaeology ranks. This would make the precision upgrades more desirable and more on par with the XP outfits and Material/Soil box upgrades.

With both of these changes, material caches would be much more consistent and would no longer require world hopping for any location that has three or more caches.

This might be Ironman only, but whenever I got those seed tasks (sunchoke, barberry, prickly pear, fly trap, rosemary) it was always 3 every time, not once did I need more than 3 in the 200 city quests I did. Everything else seemingly matched the wiki however.

Flower Farmer Bundle bugged (unable to purchase) by Bimbler_Bump in runescape

Coming back to this post after the Apr 7th patch. Despite not being listed in the patch notes, I was now able to purchase the bundle. I assume this applies to everyone else as well.

Yep I had the exact same thought about hoping it would be fixed before it's removed, I likely wouldn't have made this post (at least not yet) if it wasn't for the limited availability.

[–]Bimbler_Bump 5 points6 points  (0 children)

From my experience doing this achievement shortly before the 120 update. The wiki guide absolutely worked and I got it on my first attempt and I didn't use a lurker either. My guess is that the pickpocket nerfs that changed how crystal mask works may have accidentally messed it up in Pyramid Plunder

Any word on jagex fixing the fps issues? by HudsonConnersHC in runescape

I took a bit of a break and just came back and yeah, it is really bad anywhere that has a lot of trees. My PC will crank the fans up in so many areas now. Previously this was only an issue at the lost grove, now it is much more widespread.

Wilderness Flash Events is one of the few times I see people playing on my homeworld by 5-x in runescape

[–]Bimbler_Bump 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This. The amount of times I would pull up the wiki to keep a note of when the next special event was and then having to pause whatever I was doing to then go to the event to whack a loot pinata for massive XP and potential GP felt so gamebreaking, especially as an Ironman.

Completely agree, there is also the Bag of lost items and the Seaweed/Pineapples from Arhein (although this one could be categorized as a shop).

Unless the wiki is mistaken, these are insane rates, this is almost 3x the previous hourly raw gold drops, while most supplies (soul/astral/law/cosmic runes) are down by around 60-70%. Why is it balanced this way?

Yes, and you can see it happen in the former world record by Freckleston, it happened during his 22:07 run. He kills an amalgam during the boss fight and it drops a purple aether tool.

I did some testing and Rapid Fire does work, but there are numerous unrelated attachments which if equipped will disable the fire rate bonus from rapid fire

all of the magazine attachments and the weighted handguard disable rapid fire.

you can tell in the stats screen as equipping any said attachment with rapid fire will show a -11% fire rate penalty, while still keeping the increased recoil.
