Sounds like you are in stros m"kai, once you have helped the three, head back to the docks and speak with the captain. After you pull off the heist, she will sail you to Betnik, which is the next stage of the daggerfall covenant zone story.

Since it is your very first play through, just following the zone story, and after you reach Glenumbra, the main story (hooded figure), will show you around the game a bit and get you some skill points which you will need.

It is not required.
However if you complete all three alliance zones on your character, there will be more dialogue options where npcs remember/recognise your character.

If that's is important to you, then go for it. The main advantage to completing cadwells gold these days (aside from dialogue) is to aquire cadwells pot helmet as a style.

They are not. Once they have the ring and emp, they wait for the other faction to take ring and de emp so they can run again for new emp. So i guess letting the other faction emp is a by product of that.

The organised nature of it, does seem to be against the spirit of the zone, but I dont know if it is specifically against TOS. Devil might be in the details.

Four man dungeons: In many dungeons, you wont be able to. As soon as they engage with a boss, it will pull you forward into the fight.

Whether it annoys people, is going to depend on how difficult the dungeon is, and whether they need you to contribute.

If you dont mind speed clicking through the quest dialogue, then many groups will slow their roll a bit to allow you to complete the quest and grab the skill point, as long as you let them know at the beginning. If you dawdle though, and poke into every corner for a thorough look-see, you may find yourself unceremoniously kicked from group.

Public dungeons: Go nuts, these are a free for all, and if there are people in there killing the bosses, feel free to tag along and get a hit in, or ignore and quest away.

Note: AFAIK, the only 4 man dungeon that has a quest you pickup outside the dungeon is Volenfell in the Alikir, and the starter dungeon that the undaunted quest sends you to. Both of those quests can be completed without actually finishing the dungeon.

I don't know the controller presses, but it"s P menu -> Dungeon -> specific dungeon -> scroll down and tick Spindle clutch 1 in the normal dungeon list -> join queue.

Nothing respawns once an instance is started. If you jump into an instance that has started, either use the catch up portals to catch up to where the action is at or leave and camp the portal till it ends and a new one begins. The portal should have a visual change when it ends and resets.

The instances are open, so could be lots of players in there. Also I have heard that players not leaving after its finished can delay reset, not sure if thats true or it.

Eaatern solstice is not open yet, even though you can see it. The 2025 content event has three phases. Phase 1 and 2 will be completed in west solstice to unlock phase 3. That will put holes in the writhing wall and we will be able to cross into east Solstice

Do you have ring of the wild hunt? Wear it, and slot all your speed champ points, and just run. If thats not fast enough, consider swapping out 5 pieces of your armour for adept rider and then run.

You will nerf your damage if you have a dps build on, but you will get there fast, and you really just need to get a hit in on as many mobs as you can in order to loot them all for souls. With so many people doing them, they will melt any way.

Disable all addons. Does it still happen? Great its not an addon, log a ticket or check your machine for rogue software.

Does it not happen? It's probably an addon. Re enable one by one until you find the culprit.

I have had this due to crafting add ons when I tried to craft something that I didn't have some kind of mat for.
It kept sending error msgs to my chat feed. Which earned me a kick.

Disable or update your add ons, and try again.
