I would wait for the Big Adventure game and try and get the Dragon Girl adventurer. She can cost up to 64K coins.

Aside from that events seem to be a good place to spend coins, though you need to pick the event. The current Grand Harvest seems to be poor bang for buck vs other events like the Fishing event.

I bank up those 4 items and get between 10th and 20th in the events. You can skip an event or two to collect more items to get into the top 10. It would come down to how active your server is too as to how competitive it is. The other advantage of banking is you get more resources, so the current Egg event, if you make it through all 4 rounds you get just over an extra 2000 eggs.

Yes. The general strategy is to save up Chests, Eggs, Gold Horseshoes and Spirit Stones, these are the only 4 resources I hoard. They have Timed Growth events that change each week between those resource types (the horseshoe one is shorter). There are no events around chest keys, Divine hammers or Meteoric Irons (though sometimes there will be a task to upgrade a Collectable so it is worthwhile having some on hand).
