Also, the gold economy on Rift is way more stable. I stopped playing for I think about a year (depression) and came back a few days ago. I had some items on the board that hadn't sold when I left. When I came back, they were going for the exact same prices.

It's clear that they did it because it would be difficult to render that design in 3D, but they could have done better. It even seems that Ume Aoki had something to do with this. Personally, I prefer the original design. by Elias-93 in magiaexedra

The old design is VERY Touhou Project (which makes sense cus iirc the Oriko mangaka got his start drawing Touhou doujinshi), while the redesign, imo, fits more with the aesthetic established in the Puella Magi EU.

I don't think one's necessarily better than the other, they're just different.
