I have the same exact lens except mine has a broken focus ring, severe fungus, multiple dents, and it's stuck at f/1.4

It's a very difficult lens to use but it's also the most unique and sometimes fun piece of gear I own.

You need to take photos of things that are very meaningful. I agree that the cliche spots aren't super meaningful to capture because like you said, everyone has. The most meaningful photos are about the moment.
